Ease of use + functionality
This little diffuser works magic when it comes to aroma therapy with essential oils. The diffuser is easy to set up, and works right out of the box in less than 3 minutes (I had to get some distilled water because our tab water is a little mineral rich). Other reviews already explained the different colored light settings. I like the colors, but I most appreciate the auto turn off on this diffuser. The machine does indeed turn off when the water is low. No worries there. The water chamber holds 80ml of water + a few drops of the essential oils. I use lavender and peppermint with rosemary to create a refreshing and uplifting aroma throughout the house... And this diffuser delivers on that expectation. I will most likely order another one as a gift. Additional information added 6/12/14: I ended up buying another diffuser - the SmileyDaisy Essential Oil Diffuser - for our bedroom. I thought the interval setting on that model might be helpful to extend the usage time through the night and I wanted a smaller footprint for the diffuser on the dresser... In comparison I have to say I prefer this ZAQ Dew LiteMist for four reasons: (1) the ZAQ is virtually noise-free. No humming or motor sound at all - the Daisy on the other hand does have a slight sound to it which is notable especially at night in interval mode. (2) The ZAQ is very easy to refill. I can do it with one hand while having the grand baby in the other arm. The SmileyDaisy requires definitely two hands as the cover locks into place. Not convenient at all - I have spilled some fluids twice now when I tried to open it. (3) the ZAQ has better mist output than the SmileyDaisy (4) the ZAQ just looks better. If ZAQ added an interval setting to this model and if they reduce the footprint of the diffuser just a little bit... It would be absolutely perfect :)

Misting aromas
I had been using two little oil burners with the tea-light candles, but there were several things I didn't like about them: They take a long time to heat up and emit an aroma; They use a lot of oil in comparison to a diffuser; The tea-light candles make me nervous around my 5-yr old and two cats. After researching several brands and reading all the reviews, I decided to try the ZAQ Dew. I'm so glad I did. It works from the moment you press the button! Initially, I was using about 6-8 drops of oil and I couldn't quite believe that 3-5 drops would be enough, but the old adage of less-is-more is true in this case. I had to learn the hard way after using one of my scented oils and ended up with a headache. I love the fact that instead of wasting at least 30 drops of oil a day in the oil burners, I can use a total of about 15 drops, at most, in a day and really and truly smell it throughout my home. I like the Dew so much that I take it into the bedroom at night to diffuse lavender, chamomile, and clary sage... or sandalwood, bergamot, and ylang ylang. Peppermint and lavender are wonderful to get rid of a headache, too... but back to the review. This diffuser holds 80 ml of distilled water, and it comes with a nifty little measuring cup with 80 ml's marked on one side and 100 ml's marked on the other. The first press of the button turns it on with the color-changing cycle. Then, if you want a specific color, you wait for the color to come around and press the button again to make it stay. The third press of the button turns off the color rotation, but it will still emit a bluish glow. It's about as strong as a night-light, but doesn't bother me when I'm trying to sleep. The fourth press of the button turns the unit off. With 80 ml of water, I've found that it runs for about 3-4 hours. The auto-shut off is also a really nice feature. Cleaning this unit is a breeze! You just need to make sure that if you have water to pour out that you don't pour it over the spot that has the small one-inch slit. Then you just wipe it out with a soft cloth. I've been using this almost non-stop for three days. If anything changes with the quality of the diffuser, I'll update my review. But, so far so good!

Dewdrop in
I've had this unit for about a year and a half. I've not had any trouble with it running however types of oils can be an issue. I usually run lemongrass, lavender, clove, Spa, orange and peppermint. I have not had any issues with/ the first 5 but peppermint has a tendency to burn the closer it gets to the bottom. Not sure why or how but it eminates an unpleasant stench. It may be the quality of oil. Idk. I ONLY use city treated tap water. I let it run until it turns off on its own which is around 4-6 hours. I do not dump water out. If there is a little water left I use a facial tissue to sop it up. I do clean/wipe it out w/a hand sanitizer and facial tissue. I tried contacting the company to find out how to clean the unit and they said it was ok to use a white vinegar water solution. I never have done that. One reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because the company customer service was horrible. The unit deserves 5 stars. I really have enjoyed the Dewdrop. I use it primarily at work and the mist keeps dust allergens down. Ive noticed a huge difference when I don't use it in my office. I get stuffier when I don't use it. I also have it sitting about 3 feet from my computer and have had no computer problems. The little unit does what it says if you give it the TLC it deserves.

I can't rave enough about this product. I've been sending pictures to friends and family demonstrating the lava-like mist rising out from the machine; they're intrigued by it and I have to admit, it is truly mesmerizing. You're also able to customize your experience with the machine's multiple lighting options (no light, one light colour, or rotating light colours) which enables you to make changes depending on your mood! It is easy to use, and lasts for about 4 hours after which the machine turns itself off so you don't have to worry about it overheating.

I like this diffuser for its look and ease if use but I gave only 3 stars because I don't think it covers enough square feet even though many people claimed that it did. I have a small living room and I can't really smell much if I put only 4 drops in it. If I put 10 drops it's OK. And I do have a good nose and high quality essential oils. I like to use thus diffuser in close rooms like a bedroom or the powder room. Then it does the job as described.

This is my first electric diffuser and I wish I had made the change a long time ago. I have only ever used candle diffusers so this is quite the change. I definitely notice a difference in the smell. It's a stronger smell yet cleaner. It smells more pure. It is really hard to explain it, but if you're coming from oil burners you will really notice a big difference in the way the oils smell. I make my own oil blend and found that 4 drops was my sweet spot. The unit is extremely quiet in operation, though I do hear a water trickle from time to time. It isn't constant like a fountain, but every now and then I will hear the water. The unit also stays cool to the touch. Mine seems to run for about 4 hrs before running out of water and during that time I do not notice any heat at all. I feel extremely safe leaving it running. The unit comes in 4 pieces. You have the base, the top/lid part, the measuring cup and finally the power cord. I like the looks and the simple operation of the unit. Only time will tell of it's longevity but so far I am quite pleased with it. I would recommend it.
