Is this mug leak proof?

No it's definitely not leak proof, and as said it doesn't fit in you car cup holder.

Please can this be used in Microwave as it is not mentioned anywhere on the product description.

Does this keep cold drinks cold?

Yes, it does. On a hot day, a cube of ice helps, just remember don't immerse it in your washing up water or put it in your dishwasher. Rince after use and dry, the lid comes apart so you can wash it separately this you can put in the washing up water.My last cup lasted me nine years then my wife put it in the washing up water. She had drowned my faithful friend.
