Have a device that uses this small mini-DIN tube charger, and of course, I lost that cable. Contacted the company, and imagine my surprise, a product I bought in 2016 is no longer available, mich less its charging cable. Their newer versions use a micro-USB, and I have plenty of those cables lying around. Their tech support responded (++ for them), and said that charging cable was the same size as the old Nokia charger. Quick Amazon search, and I found what they suggested. Asked them to confirm that this would do the trick, and they said yes. Bing, bang, boom, cable ordered, arrived, plugged in, and my ‘old’ device is working just fine again… Now I wonder where the original cable got off to.

In the description it says it’s compatible with a Nokia E71. Absolutely not, the charger won’t go in all the way. Don’t waste your time

For a $7 cable, the quality could be a bit better. There are noticeable seams along the plastic connector edges that aren’t sanded down. I also don’t like that the DC barrel connector is longer than it needs to be, so the connection doesn’t feel secure when you plug it in. If I were using this for a daily charging cable, I imagine it wouldn’t hold up for more than a few months without kid gloves. I was skeptical this cable would work, but it was the least expensive viable option on Amazon at the time of purchase and Amazon’s return policy is still favorable so I gave it a try. Initially when I put the cable into the 5130c-2, nothing appeared to happen, with or without a battery inserted. I decided to leave the battery in and check back in a few hours. Upon return I found it charged and turned on! While the phone no longer can work in the states as a phone (networks are shut down) it was a nice time capsule to look through. It can still function as an FM radio, so I’m thinking of using it at a drive in theater. My e71 turned on much faster even with a dead battery; it probably has better circuitry. It’s amazing what that old phone could do. I’m grateful this worked :-). For those having trouble, make sure you’re using it with a dumb 5v charger that doesn’t try to “save energy” by shutting off at super low output (some IKEA chargers do this). An old Apple 5W charger will do nicely, or almost any old Android 5-12W @ 5V USB-A charger. Personally I used an Apple 5W charger, and separately tried a PortaPow Data Blocker plugged into a Lenovo “smart” alarm clock. Both worked.
