how would you press sheets

First you would fold the sheet lengthwise then start at the top pressing the sheet as you pull it down after each press. Then fold in half again and press once more. Turn the pressed half over and press again . Your sheet should be fully pressed. Fold in half and place in closet

Do you have to use this as a steam iron? Can you use it dry??

Use as a steam iron or use it dry. It works well. I will never use a regular iron again.

My steamer has started leaving brown spots. Help. I’ve never put water in it!

You are getting condensation meaning moisture. I mix some salt, water and a little white vinegar in the water container that hold the water for steam. Get a old towel and keep pressing the steam to released all the brown condensation. All ways keep water in the steam container.
