This is a superb product MADE IN USA!!!
It is rare for me to feel so compelled to submit a product review, but I recently used this MetroVac to dry my new car, and I am so thoroughly pleased with its performance that I wanted to let others know. My car has a ceramic coating, the first I've ever had, and I've been concerned - well, more like obsessed LOL - about its proper care and maintenance. After some hours researching on this new-fangled Internet thingy - the TV says everything on it is 100% true all the time - I found using a car dryer to minimize contact with the coated surface reduces the probability of marring, and several pro detailers recommended this product, among a short list of others. I was thrilled to discover this is made right here in the USA, and there is no shortage of great reviews on it. It exudes great quality from the moment you open the box and see MetroVac's slogan: "Deliberately made better in the USA." Equally impressive was how quickly and thoroughly it dried my car with no spotting and with no evil water left behind in the cracks and crevices - you know, the stuff that waits until you drive across the street to get a corny dog to drip out and ruin everything. Using a single 4HP motor did most of the job, including all of the detail work. I'm still getting used to its power, so I haven't yet tried the full two-motor 8HP at length, but it could blow the stink off a dead water buffalo from where they sell those corny dogs across the street. This is a true dryer, so it warms up the air to aid in the drying process, but it doesn't get so hot it'll harm delicate surfaces. I definitely recommend using hearing protection, but the machine itself isn't very loud; it's the sound of the air when it strikes and interacts with surfaces of different shapes, and that's mostly with the detail work when your ears are closer to the nozzle. Though it seems a little pricey, it is absolutely worth it for the AMERICAN MADE quality. I definitely recommend this dryer for your car. It did a beautiful job, and I am now looking into other products MetroVac produces.

Amazing blower!
The Air Force Master Blaster is simply amazing. I have long used a blow gun with my air compressor to do many cleaning duties, and between using a vacuum cleaner and the blow gun you could really get things clean. Then there are gas powered leaf blowers that we've seen used to blow the water off of cars and motorcycles. So when I first saw this 8 HP Master Blaster I instantly knew what it was capable of, but didn't know it even existed! While it is sold to blow dry cars and motorcycles, it can be used for so many more things. It does well as a blower for the driveway or garage, either carry it or get a shoulder strap. I use it after mowing the lawn to blow the clippings off of the mower deck, keeps the mower clean and looking new. Of course we use it to blow dry several motorcycles and cars, and for that it is excellent. Noise level isn't as bad as I thought it might be, so it is acceptable to me. But once you start to grasp what all it can do, it becomes even more valuable. I would suggest getting the 10 foot extension hose, nice to have, and for those complaining about the hose coming off of the blower, they likely have trouble with a screwdriver as that is a pretty basic concept of fitting the hose onto the blower as far as it will go and tightening, but not over tightening the clamp. To complain about that is to admit an inability to deal with many things mechanical...... All in all a good piece of equipment, versatile beyond what the manufacturer might realize. Think "big blow dryer" or "big blower" and you can use the air force to make many jobs easier. Drying animals, no problem. Drying or cleaning vehicles, easy. Moving dust and dirt, simple. Just remember eye protection, like safety glasses.

A quality product that does exactly what it's designed to do.
It is significantly better than a leaf blower because (1) it has more air pressure (2) it has an air filter (3) it has heated air (4) the air comes out of a hose that you can easy maneuver around your vehicle up & under doors, wheel wells, etc. and (5) the hose nozzle is rubber and won't scratch your paint. The hose is long enough to blow dry the roof of your full size SUV. It has enough air pressure that if you let go the nozzle and are holding the hose a foot back from the nozzle the nozzle will flap around like a flag. This machine will not prevent hard water spots. It will do exactly what it's designed to, which is dry. When the water evaporates it will leave minerals behind. The dryer has two switches on the side to have 2 levels of motor and air speed. I do not know if turning one off will also turn off the heat. You may not want heat if you just want to blow the water off the car with cool air (less water evaporation). The device is very well made. It is surprisingly heavy. It is a quality made product that I believe will last a long time. I believe the quality level justifies the price.

Blows it All Away...Including My Expectations
I primarily bought this to blow dry my car after I wash it. Before I used a 2 HP pet dryer that I used for my dogs and I thought that was already pretty good when I used it for my car. However, after using my 2 HP dryer for awhile, it was taking me quite awhile to blow dry the whole car and figured that using that much electricty for that long wasn't any better than using towels. So I decided to purchase this instead and man, what an upgrade. The Master Blaster will make every nook and cranny bone dry in a snap. No more worries about marring the paint with towels or worry about water spots. This unit comes with two 4 HP motors, both can run independently or together at the same time for a total of 8 HP. It runs on 19 Amps, and generally most garages are wired for 20 Amps, so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem for anyone. It even ran on full power with no problem even though a bunch of different things were being powered by the same circuit. The steep price for this blower means this isn't really for everyone. You could probably dry you car as fast with a towel as you can blow dry it, the only difference is that this is more for OCD people who want their car completely dry and minimize any swirls and scratches that may result from drying with towels. If you really care how your car's paint will look, then this will be a terrific investment. If you just wash your car just for the sake of it being clean and don't wax it or anything, you're probably better off with just using towels.

Great Product
I give this product 4 stars because I could not figure out how to give it 4.5 stars. The product is as explained. I dried my Motorcycle off is roughly 10 minutes . Spot Free. Washed my Toyopta 4 runner dried that off in roughly 25 minutes . That includes the engine compartment. And, I was learning how to use it properly at the time. The 4 wheels make it easy to move around . The hose is somewhat stif, But, that is so it last a long time and can stand up to the heat generated as the air goes through it. My main purchase was for my Harley Davidson MC. But have found many other uses for it. Wished I had one years age.

Anemic — Don’t buy!
The good: 1. It looks cool 2. Built in USA The bad: Pretty much everything else. While using forced air to dry an average sized car will take more time than a proper towel drying, this unit sets a new low. Even with both blowers going you’ll find it does an extremely poor job getting water off you car or out of hiding spots such as outside mirrors. In addition, it’s virtually impossible to get the hose to stay attached to the outlet so that any air will blow onto the car at all. Save your money and get something else or a set of nice towels. Mine is being boxed up and returned. Worthless.

Excellent dryer
This works great for drying my cars and motorcycle. They dry to a streak free shine, very quickly and it gets into tiny spaces and behind wing mirrors, wheels and rotors. It is rather noisy on the high setting so I would recommend that you use ear protection on that one. If you use an extension cord, make sure that it is heavy duty otherwise light power cords will get warm to the touch. My dog likes to be dried with it too, but I only use the low setting for her, as it is very powerful on high. I did notice that Petsmart's grooming department uses one of these to dry the dogs. I'm very pleased with it and would definitely recommend this dryer.
