Plum Steins; Gate: Rintaro Okabe 1: 8 Scale PVC Figure

For the price, the figure looks great and has customizable options for the face and arms (plus a cell phone). One thing to note, the figure is free standing, it doesn't have any pegs to attach to the stand. This didn't change my rating since it is very stable. Overall, I'm happy with how Okabe looks and the quality I got for the price.

I bought this for my best friend as a Christmas present so I haven’t actually opened the box, but even from within the box, the figure looks really nice and detailed. He is definitely pretty tall which is actually perfect because I had purchased a Makise back in July who is just about the same size. I thought having an Okabe to go with her would be an excellent choice so I’m pretty exciting to see how it looks when they’re together! On a side note, both figures come in boxes that show their original Visual Novel art which is very appealing even to someone who hasn’t played the visual novel.

Steins Gate is a series I've always known about but never took the time to watch. Having heard so many good things about the show, it was high time for me to dig in and I'm so glad I did! Now that I've finally begun watching the greatness that is Steins Gate, I thought it would be cool to get my favorite character from the show in figure form. Plum's Rintarou Okabe figure is an amazing piece for the price. At 1/8 scale you get a nice size figure with some decent detailing. But as much as I like the figure it does have its issues, most having to do with that blasted left arm socket. As some have mentioned, the left arm of his iconic 'mad scientist' pose is very loose and will fall out easily. A fix that will help is some plumbers tape which would help in getting a snugger fit. Luckily for me I prefer Okabe in his second pose which depicts him on his cell phone. That arm, at least for me, seems to fit MUCH better than the mad scientist arm. Another nit-pick I have with this figure is the base's lack of foot pegs. Now this is a small issue because the figure stands very well on its own however being a guy that own dozens pvc statues, I'm just used to my figures being attached to their bases. But again, this is a small issue for an otherwise wonderful figure. In closing I'm very happy with the purchase. I currently have my Okabe posed with his cell phone arms and his mad scientist head. That combination works very well and recreates his goofy phone antics perfectly. :)

Quality figure IMPORTANT NOTE No foot pegs, the figure stands on its own on the base. Stable enough but will easily sway and fall if pushed or anything so it needs to be carried around with two hands (separately). Box art is quite nice too!

Looks amazing! The pieces are very easy to take off and put on as well. My only issue is that they are a bit loose, but it’s not a huge deal since it’ll just sit on the shelf anyways, not much of a chance they’ll fall off there.

Left arm socket keeps on falling out other than that It is so cool! I wished it had a sturdier arm socket though

Arrived quickly and in relatively good condition, however Okabe's left shoulder slot seems to be chipped. This means that his arm has a habit of falling out of the socket, unless you balance him just right. I think it might have been a manufacturing error, since there was no external damage to the box and no bits of plaster lying around in the packaging. Otherwise, pretty much what I was expecting.

I love it. It's true that one of Okabe's arms is rather loose but I've mix and matched the poses so that his right arm is in the swooping mad scientist position and his left is on his hip, and he stays perfectly intact like that. Also it is worth mentioning as others have done that he isn't secured to his stand but that he still stands up perfectly well on his own. Would definitely recommend for any Okabe fan!

A great statue/figure for people who enjoyed the Steins;Gate game or anime! The figure is a great addition to any display, although standing him up can be a pain as he doesn't come with pegs in his feet. He does have a good stance, so he doesn't fall over on his own. Careful not to bump him though! His poses are flawless as are his facial expressions, although the arms fall out quite easily if he were to be picked up and moved around. I LOVE this!

予約時の写真でも、出来の感じはなんとなく分かっていたのですが、 届いて開封して各パーツを見て・・・少々、いや割とがっかりしました。 自分の物だけかもしれませんが、 ・口やモミアゲの塗装が褪せていたり剥げていた ・擦れたような汚れが目立つ白衣部分にある ・白衣の襟が邪魔で、説明文通りに白衣をずらしても首がはめづらくて壊れるのではないかとヒヤヒヤした。 ・腕や首の接合部のつくりが雑で近くで見ると割と気になる。 表情はアニメオカリン顔で良いのですが、鳳凰院ポーズで目立つ指先が思ってたより丸くて残念だったりと細かい事を気にしたらキリがないです。 しかし、飾ってみて遠目で眺めてみると、これが中々良い感じなのです。 特に電話をかけているポーズは、携帯電話が顔と被っている斜め左側の角度から眺めると・・・最高です！ オカリン自体がフィギュアになってくれただけでも奇跡なので有難い事です。 欲を言えばもっと細かく作って欲しかったですが。 でも、他の関連フィギュアと共に主人公を飾れるのはとても気分がいいですね。 購入して良かったです。

EL PSY CONGROO

造形は良いです。文句ありません。 しかし問題がいくつか。 1つ目は、個体差があるのかもしれませんが自立タイプなので振動や傾きにすこぶる弱いです。 地震とか来たら間違いなく倒れます。 お蔭でバイト戦士に激突してバイト戦士のチャリが破損しました。 こちらに関してはドール用の支え棒のような物が売っていますので、それで対処できます。 ２つ目は、腕が取れやすいです。すぐにポロっといきます。 まぁ色々言いましたが造形に関しては満足ですので、腕を接着するなりスタンドを別途購入するなりすれば 良い感じではないでしょうか。

バランスが悪く、よく倒れる。 ドリルで下穴をあけて小さいネオジム磁石を入れてまともに立つようになったけれどそれでもよく倒れます。 ここら辺は個々で対応するしかないのでしょうが、せっかくベースがあるなら何らかの工夫がほしかったですね。 買ってから結構経ちますが、来春にはシュタゲゼロが待ってますのでほしい方は今のうちに。
