Great amp for money
Have been using this amp for over a year now, still sounds great,as others have said the gain control is useless except I just set it and use my iPod as the volume. I'm using it in my jeep with 2 6x9's and two tweeters (tweeters run on one channel) so I have an extra channel, am going to buy a Pyle amp next week to complete. Overall I'd say that for the cost $50 at the time. It is great, straight forward and just plain works.

Not enough volume for the using on a boat. Misleading specs!
Smooth installation of this little amp. The hardware is all there for remote MP3 plug-in, remote volume, speaker lead ins, was thrilled. But then I went to play music. Maximum volume is so low you can only really hear it when there is no wind, not the case on most boats! The advertised wattage should have been plenty of power, but it wasn't. So excellent inexpensive amp, but not suitable for the environment it is marketed towards. I ended spending twice as much on a JBL Marine amp, and now I can hear the music!!! Only regret is wasting the money on the Pyle unit which I threw the box away for so I can't return it. Serves me right for buying the cheap amp. Read David S. Jannke's excellent review for more details.

BANG FOR THE BUCK = OUTSTANDING!
For the price, I'm really not sure you can beat it. Have it installed in a radio cooler, running 2 - 5 1/4" and 2 - 6"x9" speakers. Crank up the volume and you will be quite surprised. Does it have enough power to blow the speakers? No...and you shouldn't expect that. For what it's designed for, it does the job quite well. Only issue I have had with it so far is the "gain control knob" pulled off of the shaft it sits on. No big deal, nothing a little superglue couldn't fix. It could have also been my fault as to why it came off...so that's why I am not dropping a star.

Great for the price
I bought this originally thinking I'd be able to drive my 4 Polk DXi 5.25's. The listing indicates the AMP will produce 4x100 watts RMS at 4 ohms. I can tell you factually that value is WILDLY overstated. I suspected to power output to be closer to 40watts a channel. The system works simply as a converter for my MP3 player. I am using it in my motorcycle fairing, so the added volume was key to my purchasing this kit. It seems there are three or four different brands of this same unit. I ended up buying a alpine KTP-445 (I think that's what it was) in line amplifier that actually drives the speakers. When I had just the Pyle amp installed the system seemed to max out at about 2/3rds volume, no matter where I had any of the gain's or MP3 equalizer settings set. If I tried to push full volume, the sound would distort something awful (as expected at maximum power) without getting a whole lot louder. The sound was easily washed out at any speed over 35-40mph on my motorcycle. I was disappointed for sure. The bright spot: Because the amplifier is so laughably underpowered (as compared to the claims) the signal output to the speakers is closer to that of a factory stereo unit, this meant that with no further modification I could install a in line amplifier (like the one I posted above) and have a clear signal to the speakers. It was only AFTER I installed the aftermarket amplifier in line that I appreciated the pyle unit for what it was. . . a means to convert MP3 signal to speaker leads with a volume control. That's all it's good for. The 100 watt x4 channels, well I'd be very curious to know how they figured those values. If you use this kit to simply convert signal, without expectation of needing further amplification, this will most likely meet your needs. If you think this kit will provide you with everything you need to power speakers and hear them while moving, it might not work for you.

Bought a second for my harley.
Well I bought one a few months back for my yamaha v star and thought it did a great job at a cheap price so I thought I would try it on my harley while adding some 2 ohm upgraded speakers to my fairing. Well so far I am not at all disappointed, I believe if you ran this amp wide open it will destroy your speakers unless they are 200 watt rms. My speakers are 100 watt rms and I have to dial the amp back a bit. The amp will also get hot if you overdrive it, wide open gain and wide open volume, but it has never failed. For under 50 bucks there is no way you can beat this deal. It really does sound great and will drive four channels equally. It also comes with a 3.5mm stereo jack insert you can mount on your bike in your fairing, and the amp external volume control you can also mount on your fairing. Its not really meant to be a volume control, but a gain control that you should set and leave it be. control your volume on your radio. I just can't say enough good things about this amp for that price. I would buy it again and again. Have two now.

I bought this because the inbuilt amplifier in my head unit shut down. What I found it tht the sound is punchier, more open and musical than the inbuilt chipsets claiming to be the same output power. Quality is high and the inclusion of much of the cabling makes for a simple installation.

Nice little amp. Added it to my Teryx with four wale tower speakers and it’s pretty good. Was running the speakers off the head unit before...the amp made a big difference.

NOT a 4 x 100w rms amp. It's likely a 100w rms amp which is split over 4 channels, so actually a 4 x 25w amp. It's a bit disappointing but then again you get what you pay for, especially with audio products. Pretty good build quality, does what I need it to do (just).

L'ampli ne fait pas 200w mais 20 maxi...je vais acheter 2 hauts parleurs 400 w pour voir si cela marche mieux
