These are sturdy cardboard (even hard to cut with good scissors) but still, just cardboard. They have a good look to them, and the tops were very nice looking, and without flaws so I generally can’t complain. I put a 5 inch cake on it and it easily held up. I was never concerned about it flexing while transporting it. I also liked how nicely packaged they were so that I knew they were new and clean, ready for use. I will continue to use these in the future. Pretty sturdy for a piece of cardboard. I don’t know how grease proof it is because I’ve only used them for tarts so far and they don’t make such a mess. Easy to move the tart around once it’s on there (some people might not like that). Pictured is both a 9” tart and an 11” tart. I think it looks great either way!
