I needed six to work. Otherwise, the ports died. I returned this. I'm not sure of your exact specifications, but it didn't work as described. **Q: Do you have a 4 port version of this ?** A: This high power 7-port USB hub is currently the only one we sell. As designed, 7 of the 8 ports will simultaneously supply power and data, while the 8th port is for power only (great for powering an external controller, like a Raspberry Pi). **Q: Could i run six newpacs and a r606 off of this?** A: While likely possible with one of our HP 1200W server power supply kits, best performance may not be achieved, as you will be near the plateau of the hubs maximum power capabilities. This also depends on several factors, primarily including frequency of miners and the resulting power draw. Theoretically, YES, but likely with some limitations. You'd be better off with 2 hubs or a different USB port for the R606. Hope that helps! ;) **Q: Where do i find the power cord?** A: This is a highly specialized USB hub meant for people who run equipment that requires lots of power, such as cryptocurrency USB miners like the Moonlander 2 by Futurebit. Anyone who is either not tech savvy or intent on doing some research before using this, should not buy it. Amazon accepts returns. However, with some effort and learning, you can get this to work for you. In short: It does not come with a power cord, it just comes with the USB cable to connect it to your computer. The sales page states you need to get a separate power source and cord, unless they removed that information. If so, shame on them and it gives you a good case for a full refund. You have two main options to power this from the plugs it can take: A) Connect it to a computer's PSU using exactly one 6-pin PCIe connection, which most PSU's have several of. If your PSU does not have an extra 6-pin PCIe connection, you can buy converter cables that converts a Molex (IDE) or a SATA plug to 6-pin PCIe. It does not have to be placed inside a tower computer to work, you can have a loose PSU of 120 Watts or more that you jump start. Right now I run two of these with 12x Moonlander 2 USB miners off of one shared 200 Watt PSU that is jump started, and software-wise the Gecko's are connected to a laptop. I would recommend that you buy a professional jump starter for the PSU with an on/off button and not use a paper clip if you are doing that. You can also place this inside the cabinet of a tower computer as I said, no need to jump start the PSU then. I used to do that before, works great. You might need to get the USB cable out of the back of the cabinet if there is no internal connection. B) The other option would be to get an adapter. You'd need to make sure the adapter has more amps than what you need, otherwise it could overheat and fry on you. As in melt or catch fire. I don't know what you are using it for, so I can't recommend on amps or calculate for you. An adapter such as a laptop charger, or some other form of charger that has the 5.5mm barrel jack plug is what you need. This takes that. I haven’t fully tested how many miners can effectively be run, but the newpac miners fit together nicely. Up to 7 can be added, not sure how much overclocking you can do within the constraints of various power supplies.My only ask for improvement would be if there was a case available to help cooling via a fan and to protect it from dust. So far my search has come up blanks for a case.
