how long is the handle?

Depends on the hammer weight. The 22oz is 16" long from top of head to bottom of handle. The 16oz is shorter but I dont know how much.

What is the full weight with the handle and head for the 16oz and 20oz?

Is this a good thumb detector?

I find that the more I’ve used it, the less effective it has become for this purpose. Either I’m getting better at detecting nails, or worse at appendages. This is odd considering I’m all thumbs.

I bought a 30oz estwing framing hammer from amazon. it doesn’t have yellow estwing itched on handle or size etched on head.

I bought the 20oz. estwing a while back and it has 20oz on the hammer head in "ink" which will wear off over time. The yellow estwing is also in the handle. Perhaps they changed their manufacturing process. Hope this helps.
