It works on chicken, pork, fish, you name it (beef not so much, but there are some great beef rubs available from A&O). I also use it to make quicker dishes when I can't be bothered to set up the bbq or smoker. Butterfly some chicken breasts, give them a liberal sprinkling of The General and shallow-fry, blackening the outside of the chicken as you do so. The flavour is immense and makes for a great midweek meal that is prepared and cooked inside 30 minutes.
