I've loved these since I was a kid
Honestly these are an acquired taste. I've loved these since I was a kid, but you have to eat them slowly and in little bites, you can't just throw them in your mouth. I also have a bad habit of eating like ten of them in one sitting and burning all the skin off my tongue with them so that's neat.

Taste sweet
I like that its sweet but not to sweet you know. It came dry mot moist like how most some say but i guess thats the perks of buying it in winter season. Items as described. The size is good. The pricing is ok. So far after tasting, it reminds me of childhood.

Horrible! It is extremely salty.
The description and other reviews said this product is sweet and salty and that’s what I was excited about. When we opened the package and ate some, we all spat it out. It was EXTREMELY salty.

I love the sweet 🤙
I’ve ordered this 11 times so far that should say enough about this lihing mui. I tried a bunch, looking for the one we used to buy at the crack seed shop out of the huge glass jars as a kid. Although this might not be salty enough for some, I love this one the most. It’s the perfect balance in my eyes—sweeter than salty and long lasting, suck on the seed after the meat is gone and it’s the best flavor. Plus it’s white and doesn’t leave your fingers stained red so Aunty can see you got into her red lihing mui the next day ;)

NOT SALTY
Honestly, I should have read the reviews. Unfortunately this snack is not at all what I expected. I am from Mexico and am used to a snack we call “saladitos” very similar except they are VERY salty, much “meatier” and sometimes have a taste of limon. I am pregnant and have been craving these for ages, where I live you cannot find them in a corner store. I thought I did my research and found these! Again they are much more sweet than salty and completely miss the mark. I am dissatisfied because in the description in only mentions salty and does not say anything about being so sweet. Will have to find a different vendor.

Great Li Hing Mui
Perfect sweet and tart but only if you like it in the first place. Shared with my teen students while studying China but they didn’t like it. I spent a couple years in Taiwan (where these are from) when I was young and these were a real treat then and so they are now. If you’ve eaten these before, you’ll know with the good ones, you can suck on the pit for an hour and it still has the flavor.

Pretty Good
These are more sweet/less salty than I remembered them being in my youth and far more seed than meat, but they’re still delicious. Shipping took a while, but I’ll chalk that up to me ordering them just before the holidays. You get quite a lot for the price, but if you’re an addict like me, you’ll probably go through the whole bag in less than a week. Just be careful, as aspartame is an ingredient and consuming too much at once can lead to a laxative effect.

Tequila!
Living in Hawaii from 1963 to 1965 while my father served in Viet Nam I feel in love with this snack along with dried octopus. I saved my monthly allowance to get them. Li Hing Mui is a salty dried ground plum skin. It tastes like a combination of sweet, sour, and salty taste. My purchase here did not let me down. This product tastes as great as it did some 56 years ago. If your a tequila drinker pop one in your mouth instead of salting your hand. I give it a five rating.
