Sturdy, attractive, fits well
After years of using the original wrist band on my Fitbit Alta, and later having mixed success with a magnetic clasp on a metal band, I ordered this wrist band. It has a clasp like my expensive watch. The wrist band itself resembles the band on both my watches. I was able to conveniently remove a link to resize the band thanks to the included tool specifically designed to remove or insert a pin in the links. Well-made tool and the instructions were excellent. I'm a professional technical writer (created maintenance and operator manuals for airplanes). I rate the instructions as A+.

So comfortable, A1 band! Can’t wait to order in more colors.
This band is the bees knees! Seriously so comfortable! I used to hate wearing my Fitbit Alta because I thought it was so uncomfortable and I couldn’t find a strap that felt good or stayed on well. I’ve tried the straps that are magnetic and they always slipped and got looser. This band is amazing and doesn’t come loose and is super comfy. I agree with some other reviewers that the process of removing extra links was a little difficult and the tool they provided broke but there were replacement pieces to fix the part that broke. Just be patient with it and go slow. It was pretty difficult snapping the tiny pin back into the link but again, with patience and steady pressure it eventually clicked. There’s a learning curve to it but patience is key! I will say that I am not sure if these are meant to workout in. I have and I sweat a lot and it has held up look wise so far. The only downside is that it is tricky getting the sizing right because when working out I wear my Fitbit up a bit higher on my wrist as Fitbit suggests which means the band needs to be a bit looser to fit higher but also small enough to fit lower for everyday wear so it’s not too loose. It does sometimes slip when I’m working out also so I may need to make the band smaller but I didn’t want it to be too tight. I might just switch to the rubber bands during my workouts as those seem to stay in place easily. The bands are easy to switch so I don’t mind too much but that would be the only downfall I would say about this band but it could also be due to user error with the sizing. I do also sleep in this band and it’s so comfortable I don’t mind it at all. I used to hate sleeping in my old bands because they felt so bulky and uncomfortable but this one is perfect! I will definitely be ordering more of these in different colors! I can’t wait & I want them in every color lol!

Looks great - clasp and resizing tool could be better
Pros: * It looks great. * It has a butterfly clasp which makes it easy to put on. Neutral: * The middle section is rubber coated - not sure if that is a pro or a con. The rubber is not obvious looking at it even in person (unless you get a contrasting color). Cons: * The resizing tool is not great. And almost everyone will need to use it. I recommend unscrewing the punch part from the rest of the plastic tool and using it to press the pins out in your hand instead of trying to use the screw mechanism, which is just bound to bend the end of the punch. Note that the pins are directional. There is a large end and a small end. It can be hard to tell which is which but they only come out one way. So if you are having trouble getting the pins out try the other direction. * The butterfly clasp does not open enough. If you size the band to your wrist it is pretty difficult to get your hand through the hole with the butterfly clasp undone. Or more difficult than it had to be anyway. If they made the clasp just 1/4" or 1/2" longer it would be fine.

Very happy, fantastic purchase.
So it's a metal, link band that's coated in some protective film. I don't know what but it's great. I've had it for a couple of months now and other than a couple of links on the bottom (where I rest my wrist on the desk and such) it still looks brand new - and I'm pretty hard on things, especially hand/wrist things because I'm always banging my hands and arms on doorways and such. Absolutely no downsides to this product! It fits smoothly and seamlessly with the Alta, the clasp functions as it should, and despite claims from people having issues removing pins when adjusting the band size - I had none. I do have bigger than normal wrists so while it technically fit me out of the box I ended up ordering a second one and adding two links to it so that I could wear it the way Fitbit recommends you wear it in order to get the most accurate readings. All of the measurements on the product page are accurate, I'm just glad I was able to add links to it. I have been very pleasantly surprised with this purchase.

Great Accessory Band for your Fit Bit
I have been trying to find a good band for my Fit Bit as the plastic bands seemed to keep breaking. I ordered another band that I thought would be a good fit, but it was junk. Came across this band and thought what the heck - has great reviews. Not only did my band arrive a day early, adjusting the band (taking out a few links) was the easiest thing ever (with my 1.25 glasses). It came a tool that the band lays flush in allowing you to remove the pin easily. Putting it back in after you have taken out the links was just as easy. It's a nice looking, a little heavy - but I like that because when my plastic bands broke, I didn't necessarily notice that it was missing until it was already gone and I had to go looking. This band I would notice that it was missing. Love Love Love this band!

Elegant band
Lo e the band. Make my fitbit look more elegant and does not make my skin it h like the rubber ones.

It’s ok...there are better...
The band is fine. The tool is terrible. Mine was bent so I had to bend it myself to be straighter and the. Try and line it up with the pin just right to remove them. Ended up scratching the band around the pinhead a tiny bit because it wasn’t lined up exactly right all the time. The band itself had some minor scratches when I opened it. It’ll get scratched anyway but that’s a little off putting for a brand new band. I ordered a different brand and that one was better. For $2 more it had a plastic wrap around it so it wouldn’t be scratched in transit and the tool worked better. For the $2, I’d get the other one again over this one.

The locking mechanism secures it on my wrist better than ever
Flipping a house so the silicon bands were ripping off on a regular basis. I've been using this one for several weeks and it exceeded my every expectation. The locking mechanism secures it on my wrist better than ever, the connection to the Fitbit is tight and doesn't give out, the band is more comfortable than I imagined, the detailed paint job is impressive, and the overall durability of the band is great. They even provided a tool to remove excess links so I got the fit I wanted -- it took a bit of doing and the tool was bent and giving out by the time I finished, but it lasted long enough to git 'er done. I'm thinking about purchasing a second one just in case I ruin this one with an errant power tool. Highly recommend! Update after nearly 4 months of use: this band still looks fantastic and feels great. There's a couple of spots where it's starting to wear and one scratch as a result of a minor power tool mishap, but I'm still comfortable wearing this to job interviews and formal social events (someone has to look pretty hard to discern the skull patterns). This baby is holding up really well and I'm about to purchase one for my wife (sans skulls, of course -- she's not as twisted as I am).
