Lincolnshire Pond Plants Ltd - Pond Starter & Top up Pack - Oxygenating - Compost and Pots (XS)

Tiny plants but well packaged and received very quickly. After only 3 weeks all plants are looking healthy and have grown considerably. Great customer service as well. Shame there were no instructions though.

I purchased this product for a mini-pond. 45cm x 45cm x 35cm deep. Purchased and planted the plants late April 2021. Weather was cold but sunny. Todays date is 17/05/21. The first to show signs of life was the 'water forget-me-not', this was followed by the 'Iris' flags growing taller, the next in line is at present a single reed stalk which is growing longer, I await for more. Also today I have a single lily pad, it is smaller than a 5 pence piece, but it is strong sign of growth. Now I await signs that the oxygenation plant is growing. When the plants arrive they appear quite forlorn, but there is life in the roots, life to be enjoyed as the summer progresses.

good little water plant startup pack, only two things i would say is the soil only half filled each pot so had to half fill with pea gravil and the grass "looks" dead no green only dead brown stalks, i know these die back in winter and regrow in summer but i have some in my pond and they dont look this dead. will have to wait and see what they look like over the next few weeks, came well packaged each plant had it's own label "some" soil and 4 water plant pots i think they should add some hession sheets ( mabe charge £20 instead of the £17.50 for the addition ) as i had to pop out and buy some as not part of the pack without the hession soil tends to wash out of the pots other than that it's a great little starter pack ( well will be lol if the plants grow and do well iv'e added a video of the water feature and plants i bought last year its still doing very well so very happy with my purchases :-)

The plants arrive looking like they're having a very hard time and are close to passing. Thankfully there are currently three that after a couple of weeks look like they're alive and growing but I'm not sure about the other two. The instructions provided are very poor and leave more questions than they answer. The soil provided is very lightweight and completely different to the aquatic soil from a local company. After searching online for advice and buying a bag of aquatic soil it looks like I might get 3 out of 5. But it may be that the other two spring to life soon. If only the instructions were any good.

All plants doing great except the pond lily which is doing nothing and can't even find it in the basket! It sprouted then stopped and now just looks like a basket of empty dirt. Bought in good faith however seller was initially very unhelpful and difficult then when they finally listened I told them I followed instructions and had extra guidance from a gardener they asked for a photo but I don't have camera phone as mine broke last week, they are claiming I need to find someone with a camera to take a photo however I don't know anyone due to agoraphobia. So seller is just causing me undue stress. I Just want a pond lily that grows! Seems odd to be all did well except the lily which didn't look as good as the other plants on arrival. But I assumed it would perk up.

Arrived on time and well packaged plants were small but healthy would happily buy from this seller again.

I noted from some of the other reviews a negative dialogue on the size and condition so I thought I would comment here about that. These are plants grown to survive transport and therefore are a small root system and foliage. Most water plants grow prolifically and if you have a small pond, they will grow quickly and fill the space. The water lily does come looking "dead" but within 24 hours of unpacking and putting into the compost filled basket provided has already started to sprout leaves, so is very much alive. Give the plants a chance before leaving negative reviews as they are just dormant. Well pleased and they will add variation in my newly extended pond.

The plants established really well in my pond. They grew quickly, and planting them was easy. Compared to buying locally, this pack offers excellent value for money. I’m happy with the quality and would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to add plants to their pond.
