Cica Care 12cm x 6cm Small Size Scar Management

I am using this on a post surgery incision scar located on my ankle. It has been so useful for two reasons. The soft gel creates some padding and reduces friction against shoes and socks protecting the skin. Secondly it keeps the scar from drying out and the tissue seems more moisturised. It very noticeably reduces the raised and angry look of the scar, if I leave if off for a day or night I can very much see the difference. The fact that you can just wash the dressing with some soap and warm water allow it to air dry and then reuse it again and again is brilliant, it's great value for money. You can also cut it to size but I would recommend leaving it a good bit over size so it sticks well rather than cutting it a bit small. I'll be wearing this for a good while to come as scars take a long time to heal, but this is definitely helping to prevent the formation of heavy keloid scaring.

Consistency is key I notice my scars are flatter. At early stages with it but I think my scars look less aggressive alteady.

One the one hand, it does help with healing, the extra protection and hydration helped me to patch up a wound that was healing wrong and where the scarring and scabbing was constantly cracking and re-opening. On the other, adhesion is abysmal. The longest I managed to use one small piece was 18 hrs, with cleaning and re-attaching it several times (it is meant to last for 2-4 weeks). If you use it on a body part that stretches/moves around, it will keep falling off. The edges are sticky and if you e.g. use it in the night and it put your arm or whatnot on a pillow, it will stick to the pillow more than to your arm. So, be aware that using it on scars thare not smooth, on body parts where where the skin moves a lot during the day/night, or if you are using smaller pieces, this is not the item for you.

I had no idea these existed. I had what potentially could have been an ugly 4inch scar. I used these religiously and can honestly say, it's invisible. I cut the sheet to size and covered with a dressing for longevity - I will definitely use again if needed and 100% recommend these.

Mis sur cicatrice PTG . A bien réduit les endroits où la cicatrice était cheloïde et sensible. Opération du 19/09/2023 donc on peut dire que la cicatrice est vraiment jolie à ce stade. Il reste en haut un endroit plus épais qui va s'atténuer avec le temps.

Estou a utilizar sobre a cicatriz de um sinal queimado com azoto líquido porque deixou uma pequena cicatriz e porque tenho tendência a formar queloide. Em 3 dias já noto que está bem menos vermelho. Vejo alguns comentários negativos que não compreendo: ou receberam um produto defeituoso, ou não leram as instruções. Pode usar-se até 24h por dia, mas tirando duas vezes para lavar com sabão neutro e água (pode reutilizar-se até 28 dias a não ser que deixe de colar). Não é para usar sempre de seguida ou tomar banho com ele, como vi alguém dizer e depois admiram-se de ficar com alergias. Se for usado corretamente, funciona.
