This is my first homemade music box and I am glad I picked this for the inside. The sound is great and the unit has a quality look and feel. The wind up is easy and takes very little turns. The mechanics of it feels durable as well as the weight of it. The size is apparently according to standard as the 3 templates I grabbed all lined up with the screw holes, which means I did not have to drill any additional holes. I just cut the template and screwed this musical machine right in. For 12 bucks I cant believe how well this works and great it sounds. Good price for one that actually sounds like the song very clearly and is designed to spec. I have already ordered a couple more.

This is an excellent replacement music box for one that got overwound/broke. Most of the ones that I listened to samples of, before making the decision on this one, sounded very tinny and hard to make out what song it really was. This one seemed to sound better than most of the cheaper ones and that is what I based my decision on. I’m very happy that I shopped around on this. This one has a very nice Clear sound and it’s not so faint that you can barely hear it. The volume is perfect, and you can tell what song it is without being Tiney and scratchy sounding. I would recommend this music box over the cheaper ones!

Good product with good tune and sound

Feels very durable. Heavy metal base. The sound is sufficient for a music box. Worth the price. Roughly 1.5" x 1.5". Comes with a knob and 3 screws, but appears to have more than 3 positions to place the screws.

Nice sounds and quick delivery

I swapped out this music box for an old one and it worked great. I did have to purchase a little kit that lengthened the key but then it was perfect. I restored my grandmother's musical jewelry box and am so happy.

This is just a darling music box. I assemble book nooks and other diy dollhouses, and I recently purchased a kit that I later learned could support a music box. I read a few reviews that said this music box was too quiet, but I purchase it anyways because quiet music was better than no music. When it arrived, I pulled it out of the bubble wrap. It was indeed quiet; however, once installed, it was clear, loud (not too loud), and offers a lovely tune!
