It isn’t too firm and after a month of use it has definitely helped me sleep better. It isn’t hot either and the cover is very soft. I still use a pillowcase but you could do without one. I sleep every which way and so far, this has been great for all positions. I use the middle for sleeping on my back, the sides for sleeping on my side and for sleeping on my stomach. The height is good and it has a nice firm squish to it. I tried to sleep in both sides but felt the cervical curve side is much better than the other side as the other side seems to be too thick for me. The pillow is very comfortable for both my neck and shoulder however it might not be comfortable for short necks as one of the guests felt uncomfortable with this and had to change the pillow in the middle of the night.Pillow comes with a cover so you don't have to buy pillow cover separately and easy to wash like any other clothes.
