Mulex Germany Electric Samovar/Electric Tea Machine 2 Ltr

I’ve had this product for over one year. Not only it is a very attractive Samawar, it works perfectly and we’ve had no problems with it at all. It is convenient to use and acts just like the traditional units we used to use when we were growing up. No matter where it is actually manufactured, I’m confident that it’s built with precise German standards and supervision. Our guests have also loved it and some of them probably bought one.

Seven months after I bought this item, it started leaking from a small hole visible on the lower part of the plastic housing, near the base. I can't find a warranty sheet (if I received one)--only the instruction manual. Now the seller no longer carries this item. I will try to contact the seller to be able to review them specifically, but the product is definitely not worth the money. Very sad to feel this level of buyers remorse. Hopefully the 2 year warranty mentioned in the product description holds up.

Paying over three hundred dollars I am disappointed by the inside material. A little bit misleading as it mentioned the interior material is stainless steel but only the bottom is stainless steel but the rest are "plastic". Seller repeats it is not plastic but it is "synthetic material". Unfortunately, it is plastic. This is some sort of High heat resist plastic (of course, synthetic material) which you can find this material from any CAD19.99 plastic kettle from Walmart. It does not melt when you boil water with it. From the tea pot (ceramic) and the samovar, you cannot find any engrave or printing say "Made In Germany", so this make it's origin become a big question mark. The craftsmanship and quality does not seems to be from Germany, you can see a lot of molding marks, chips and residues are still on the product, there is no way to verify and confirm the item's origin and seller claims it is "Made In Germany" has become a mystery. The samovar's cover has a recycle sign on it but did not mention the number. Plastic?.... You can only see the brand name and "Germany" under the brand, that can only tell you Mulex is a German company but nothing else. The packaging is also a bit lousy. Overall with all the traces, I really doubt it was manufactured in Germany. Despite of the design and looking, I would say this is just similar to any plastic kettle from Walmart price would be from 9.99 to 29.99 .

This is a very good electric samovar. Not cheap but it is very well made and works very well.

Size, function is very good. I had enjoyed my first tea cup. But this product might have a serious issue. The material for bottom pot seems like plastic. They had to clarify in the description, saying that it is not plastic, but it looks/fells/smells exactly like plastic. They dont also clarify the material, which is not good, what type of synthetic material is it? Is it carcinogen? After the use, already plastic burn/heat type smell is all around the room. Boiling bubbles originates circular forms, the heat conducting base might not be strong material, not sure, feels flimsy. Top pot is very good porcelain pot, so nothing disappointing there. But the bottom pot quality is not good, looks cheaply made. The water pouring knob side is already shaking when you press with your hand, as if it is going to separate from the bottom pot, seems sloppy design. It is costly with cheap materials but even if we put the cost aside, I have mainly health related concerns about this product. Amazon should require this company to clarify the material they used to make the bottom pot. I should have been very careful about this before the order. I remembered why I trusted on this product, it writes Germany, but this product may not be made in Germany, it has Turkish and English or German user manuals so it might be made in Turkey, not sure. Nothing wrong with that but my main concern is that I am not sure whether European quality standards have been implemented to make this product. From a few flimsy points indicated above, I conclude that this product might not be one of the successful German engineering products.

this is a great samovar for tea drinkers that brew loose tea. I had another one which broke down after a couple of years of constant use. There are a couple of design flaws. First the faucet is not sturdy enough and cracks. second the thermostat which sits on the back of the unit is subjected to high temp steam and it, too, is not sturdy enough to take the heat. It broke down after 2 years of use. If they resolve these issues, it is a wonderfully functional contraption. Otherwise, it will cost you $10 per month ($250 for 24 months)

This product arrived on time and was well-packed so as to arrive safely. With the teapot on top, it is a little tall for top of the counter, but looks lovely no matter where you put it.

Great Samowar by far, and I hope all of it was made in Germany , and not freaking China . I hope more European and U.S. made products become available on Amazon for us to purchase . Keep up this type of quality work , you will win the hearts of quality people . Thanks for caring and considering this desire of your clients/customers .

Mi occorreva un bollitore in stile da sistemare all'interno di una Suite con Spa privata nel mio piccolo Hotel e dalle foto dava l'idea del prodotto giusto per le mie necessità. Consegna rapidissima e dopo averlo scartato la felice sorpresa di aver acquistato un prodotto di ottima qualità anche nella componentistica. Due serpentine che possonno essere utlizzate anche separatemente, quella inferiore per riscaldare un quantitativo di acqua maggiore che puoi versare nella tazza con un semplicissimo rubinetto e quella superiore per tenere in caldo la teiera in porcellana consumando anche meno energia. Il prezzo è veramenete conveniente rispetto al prodotto acquistato. Infine lo consiglio senza riserve !!!

A beautiful looking item. Ideal even for a family of 8. Looks compact but the teapot holds a lot of tea and the main unit holds close to 2.5 litres of water. Heats the water very quickly and then continues to keep it hot. Highly recommend it for people who like tea on tap.

Le grand avantage d'un samovar est d'avoir toujours du thé à portée de main, ou une grande quantité quand on a des invités. Un autre avantage à ne pas négliger, c'est de pouvoir utiliser du thé en feuilles, grâce au grand filtre de la théière. Nous sommes allés dans une maison de thé, et on découvre les parfums subtils de la bergamote, du jasmin, de la menthe... Bref, un achat très utile dans un ménage qui aime le thé :)
