I have owned a Ken Onion belt sharpener for three or four years. I have tried belts made by others with mixed results. The belts of others are often either too tight or too loose and don't last very long. I err on the side of caution and stick with OEM belts.

Really makes sharpening accessible to most skill levels, only better way I think are the stones but then it’s a different game.

In der Gebrauchsanweisung steht die Empfehlung, mit dieser Körnung X22 vorzuschleifen und mit X4 nochmal fein nachzuschleifen. Ich verwende ausschließlich dieses X22 zum Messer schleifen. Das Band wird vor dem Schleifvorgang angefeuchtet, Ich nehme dazu Iosopropanol. Der Nasschliff mit äußerst geringem Anpressdruck ergibt optimale Ergebnisse. Der letzte Schliff sollte in Richtung zur Schneide erfolgen, das erspart das Abziehen.
