What is the difference between an nb-6l and an nb 13-l?

Different size/shape batteries for different cameras. My Canon SX280HS used the NB-6L, my Canon SX720HS uses the NB-13L. The NB-13L is the same length, but narrower & thicker than the NB-6L (hence, they're NOT interchangeable).

How long does this battery last in a g7x? i keep reading a bunch of reviews saying the g7x eats up battery life very quickly, but how long?

I just got my Camera last week and took it to a play where our God-daughter was playing the lead. The camera performed really well, taking very sharp shots at 85 or 100 mm and ISO 1600. However, I snapped about 115 photos during the first act and then noticed I had low battery for the second act. I got about another 20 judiciously timed shots during the second act before I ran totally out. I was using the medium resolution and programmed auto mode. Anyway, get a spare battery and bring it with you if you expect to shoot more than two hours!!

Is this a canon oem battery or a knock-off?

The NB-13L battery I received on 6/22/2017 was a genuine Canon product in the manufacturer's retail packaging. There was an authentic Canon holograph on it. All this would be hard to fake by knock-off...
