I purchased a brand new unit from Warehouse Deals (here on Amazon), and it didn't operate properly. When I wrote Aims customer service, they asked some questions then dropped all correspondence.I then purchased a "rebuilt" from Amazon a month later, plugged it in and it has been working flawlessly.The actual inverter may last or it might not, as it is too early to tell. But I do know that I will avoid purchasing anything from AIMS Power in the future.I'd probably give the unit more stars if the manufacturer stood behind their product.UPDATE: The returned repaired unit has been working without fail and I am quite pleasantly surprised with it's performance.Update: Aims finally sent me a number and an address to ship the bad inverter for repairs? That was over a month ago.I am thinking that perhaps I should have purchased the next larger model- Model #: pwrinv250012w for a few extra bucks.On Feb. 17, 2015 Aims Power did send a RMA to return the faulty unit, so I gave them another star.I'll update this review as the saga continues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ What I did not like about this inverter design is the positive and negative ... *by M***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 8, 2015* I gave this unit four stars. What I did not like about this inverter design is the positive and negative connectors for the battery bank cables. If you are not careful the cables will short to the case! Most inverters have a flat mounting bracket for each of the cables. That gives the cables plenty of room to connect without electrical short to the case. This unit has bolts which are perpendicular to the case, thus the battery cables could very easily short to the case. I am glad that I noticed that, so I did not fry the unit while trying to connect the battery cables. The unit gets hotter than other unit, and the fan does not come on until the unit is over 100F. Otherwise the unit has worked fine. ### ⭐ Bad seller *by H***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 29, 2021* Product came to me unassembled and not functioning AT ALL... further investigation found that main circuit control board had been submerged while in operation and was destroyed, I have been 6 months looking for a replacement... this item was NOT as advertised.
