I Knew You Could!: A Book for All the Stops in Your Life (By CRAIG DORFMAN) (Illustrated by CRISTINA ONG)

This book needs to be a staple in everyone’s library!! This is a book that is universal and is absolutely relatable for all ages and life stages. I can not relay this enough. I might the the absolute biggest fan. It’s like a personal book cheerleader for every stage of life!

A soft cover copy of this book “I knew you could” was given to me at my high school graduation by a dear family friend and inside the cover she had written the most loving meaningful letter to me about how far I had come in life and how far I was going to go and that she was excited to be there along the way and watch me on the journey! That simple gift means so much to me! Now that I have my own children I want to give them each something that will bring that feeling of love and acceptance for them that I feel when I read this book. I decided to replicate the graduation gift idea but with a little spin! I purchased this hardcover book so that each year my sons teachers can write him a special note inside and at his high school graduation I will present it to him. I think this book it is a much more "man friendly" gift option that can be easily saved throughout the years for me to take to each grade and afterwards for my son to take with him to college and off into life. So far we have 2 years of preschool teachers, kindergarten and he just started 1st grade. I have a while but I am so glad that I have this book to have loving words added to along the way. The book itself is hardcover with a protective sleeve. Great quality and the book I remember and love so much!

Lesson to be learned at all ages. Beautifully illustrated

I absolutely love this children’s book! When my daughter finished Kindergarten, her teacher gave her a copy, and the message has stayed with us ever since. It’s heartfelt, meaningful, and so beautifully written. I now make it a point to buy this book for every baby shower I attend. I still find myself in tears and deep reflection every time I read it. Do yourself—and the little ones you love—a favor and get this book!

This is my absolute favorite children's book, both when my son was little, and even now. I purchase this book for any baby showers or toddler birthday parties I'm invited to. It's such a great little analogy about how life is full of so many different options and paths that we could take. And how there are ups and downs, but things always get better and there's so much to look forward to in life.

I bought these as a gift for my children when they graduated high school. The book speaks of the "different roads you'll take in life" and it seems perfect as a graduation gift. There is plenty of space in the front and back to have their teachers throughout the years to sign a small message for them as we pass each grade. The books itself was a medium/large size. No damage to the book. Arrived with a plastic cover on it. The book is a good read. Id recommend to check it out at your local library before you purchase to see if it is what you are looking for.

Great gift for graduation!

I received this as a gift when I finished defended my dissertation. I now give them as gifts for doctoral candidates I work with as a coach and editor. If you have someone in your life that has accomplished a big goal, this book is a must have. It describes life so well.

This book is amazing. I'm not sure how much of the underlying message little ones will understand, but it's such a great teaching tool for their life ahead. It's written in a poem format and talks about how the train can take many paths but he'll know which one is right for him. He might go through a dark tunnel from time to time, but eventually he'll see the light at the end. He might one day wish he was a plane or a car, but that everyone has their own journey to go on. And who knows, the plane and car might be wishing they were a train some days! ;-) It tells kids to stay true to yourself, believe in yourself, and enjoy the ride because no matter what hurdles you face, you can do anything you put your mind to. I know you can!

Nice book that we gave to our preschool graduates. It's a bit lengthy, which makes some children not focus throughout the whole book but with lots of intonation in the reading it works.

I am very happy I bought this for kid. It is a fantastic story with a deep message for life.

This book is very poor quality. On three of the pages the print is so faint that it is barely legible. The print will need to be traced over with a pen before is readable
