Review: very good - I had attended a weekend workshop and built an oven Successfully some years ago. Now my teenage daughter wanted to make an oven. We both found this book inspiring and easy to follow. Good techniques explained well. Would have liked even more photos but there are enough to give you the confidence to built your own oven. Recommended.

### ⭐⭐⭐ You'll want more than this

This book has been marginally helpful to me as I research how to build a clay oven. There was some amount of helpful information, but too many times the information was vague even when it comes to how the author built his own oven. For example, "I'm not a great one for recording measurements (sorry!) but readers of the blog have posted the volumes for ovens they have constructed which I have included below." "Tip lots of sand onto the brick floor of your oven. I'm not sure how many bags I used but I remember being amazed at how much was neeeded..." I doubt that you will be able to build your oven without consulting additional resources beyond this book. With no offense to the author intended, I found a simple search on YouTube to be more helpful to me than this book. There were "pieces" of information that were helpful scattered through the book, which is why I'm able to give this book 3 stars.
