BBOUNDER 12 Pack 5/6 Inch LED Recessed Downlight, Baffle Trim, Dimmable, 12.5W=100W, 5000K Daylight, 950 LM, Damp Rated, Simple Retrofit Installation -No Flicker

I bought these back in 2019 to retrofit all of my canister lights from incandescent to LED. The price was extremely reasonable, which was important since I had 24 to retrofit. Installation: Took less than 2 minutes on each light. Extremely easy. Brightness: Being 3 years since I have installed these, there does not seem to be any diminishing light. They are as bright now as the day I put them in. And they are definitely bright. Longevity/Lifespan: As I said previously, I purchased these lights 3 years ago (thought I had reviewed them, apparently I did not, so here we are). In the 3 years that they have been installed, they have definitely brightened up everything that I do. Up to last week, I never had so much as a flicker from any of them. I have 5 of these lights on my covered porch which is exposed to heat (max temp since install 107° feel like temp) and the cold (max low temp since install 7° with wind chill). My porch lights are on approximately 8-10 hours per day, no issues. The lights inside are on approximately 12-16 hours per day, no issues. Customer Service: As I said, I have had no issues until last week when 2 of my interior lights had dimmed down to almost nothing. I messaged the company through the company link on the item description page of the lights. I sent them a message, letting them know the ASIN #, the purchase date/info and the issue that I was having. I asked them about buying individual replacements, these lights have worked so well, I had no issues with purchasing replacements. Their customer service messaged me back within an hour, on a Sunday mind you, explained that they do not sell individual lights, but the do have a 5 year warranty on the lights that I had forgot about. They informed me that if I would send them my address, they would send me replacement lights, no charge for anything. I received my replacement lights within a week, installed them and they are working just as well as the previously purchased ones. I have to say, a reasonably priced, quality product with excellent customer service. I will definitely recommend and purchase from them again.

*** Update 4/14/2023 *** Bbounder customer service reached out to me and offered a refund on my original purchase due to the defects in the old lights. They followed up several times to ensure the issue was resolved and even offered to send me an additional set of lights. I took the refund but not the additional light set, because as I noted in the original review the new set of lights has been redesigned so I have high hopes and don't need two boxes. . Based off the customer service and the 5-year warranty on the new package of 12 lights I would recommend purchasing. Changed review from 3 to 5 tarts based off customer service experience. Original April 13th, 2023: I bought these in March 2020, in the last 6 months several started to dim, and now 4 are completely dead, and 3 are barely lit. I just re-bought another 12 pack because I had to match the light style of the rest of the open room. The new 12 pack is a redesign from the ones I bought in March 2020, so hopefully they have worked out the bugs. The new pack says they come with a 5 year warranty and I will file it away since the old ones lasted about half that. Still very easy to install, work with many dimmers and look good when functioning properly.

We just purchased a house that is about 9 years old; it contained many of the typical recessed flood canister lights. Every bulb but one was 65 watts; these are 12.5, look better and are very bright. It took maybe minutes per light to make the change and that includes moving the ladder and vacuuming up the misc. dust etc that dropped down from the old canisters. The install could not be easier; ANYONE can do it. For my install I needed to: 1. remove the old bulb, 2. pull down the canister from the ceiling, 3. squeeze together the spring clips on each side releasing the canister from the housing in the ceiling, 4. squeezing together the clips where the bulb socket connects to the canister, 5. screw in the pigtail supplied in the box, 6. Plug the pigtail into the new light, 7. squeeze together the springs on each side of the light to install them into the housing the same as the old canister was installed, and then push the new light up to the ceiling. I guided up to the center the socket and pigtail so it was out of the way. I also found if I gently tapped on the new light with my palm it helped to seat onto the ceiling a little better. These look like they were professionally installed, are brighter and use way less electricity. Super; do it.

Overall, a decent product. I've installed dozens of these type of retrofit lights in several different homes. This product for some reason I had some issues with the spring clamps slipping out of the retainers in the cans. I've never experienced this type of problem before. I would clip them in the retainer, push them up into the can and springs would slip out of the retainer and would not draw tight up to the ceiling. Four out of the twelve of them had this issue. I had to bend the springs slightly to get them to install correctly. I had a different brand I was installing in other parts of my home and none of them had issues like this. Don't know if I just got a bad batch or if the spring design is flawed. The light are nice, provide nice bright light and none flicker, so mostly they're OK, just the spring issue is what I had a problem with.

I have a large home and three years ago I changed out all of my old canned lights to these. Looking up my old order today to see how long they’ve lasted with regular use and yes, it’s been three years. The one that just went bad was in the kitchen and is frequently used and left on. Easy to install because the original can stays in place. Each light was upgraded in a few mins. All of the fixtures look great without painting. The light color was amazing as well. I also bought an extra case to use as future spares as I wasn’t sure how long these would actually last. Needless to say I have enough spares knowing they last so long. Very happy.

so easy to install, it really beats having to rip the entire fixture out to install new lights, what a time saver. lights are also nice and bright.

Ease of installation, brightness, looks great

Super bright and easy to install even for a lady. I changed my ugly-looking light cones in my bedroom to this LED and they fit perfectly. they turned my bedroom from an old last century style to a modern looking in just minutes. The only thing I didn't notice was that these lights were not adjustable for the brightness. So my bedroom becomes tooooo bright. So, be careful if you don't want that.
