How bad do they shrink? if one order say a size (l) 36-38. would they shrink one, two inches off of the original size say from 36- 38 to a 35- 37 ?

I have not noticed any shrinkage and I am pretty rough on them when washing. My wife says I "cook" them in the dryer way too long.
