The pressure/vacuum vent valve vents at 8 oz/in², and relieves vacuum at -1 oz/in². This equates to a high pressure of 13.85 inches of water, and a vacuum pressure of -1.73 inches of water. So this gauge had the perfect range to let me know if my pressure/vacuum vent valve is operating properly. It allows me to monitor vacuum while pumping fuel, and to see pressure rises in the tank during exposure to the daytime sun.
