Xia: Sellsword Mk II

It's a solid item, but it doesn't add anything necessary for enjoyment of Xia. This is more for people who want to get the most out of Xia and are completionists.

While I have read that the Sellsword is an important add-on for solo play, I don't find it important for a regular game. I have played the game twice since starting to use it. In the 1st game, the tile spawning it was never drawn. In the 2nd game, both of us players had the opportunity to hire the ship, but chose not to. Although, we don't really care for the NPC rules on the whole. The NPCs either spend the game attacking each other, or terrorizing one player. And the Solo rules make it impossible to win.Anyways, this NPC might be fun with a lot of players or in certain circumstances. It doesn't take away from the game. Just consider that spending over $20 for a single ship may not be practical.

Xia is a fantastic Game by far off games and the add-on’s have been great the sellsword add on is no different it adds a mercenary that you can hire to make life hard for your friends giving you a advantage.

Not a must have but if you enjoy the different models and/or like having the complete collection of Xia it's a nice addition.

Not the cheapest thing out there but it's an expansion to one of the best boardgames on the market so you gotta have it! Nuff said!

When this product arrived, the base stand for the ship was broken. Once i reached out to customer support (Far Off Games) they took care of it quick. No Hassle. With that said...This expansion adds the sellsword (a mercenary for hire) that works amazingly well for solo. Solo can be a challenge, but sellsword helps balance the act against the early deployment of 2-3 NPCs.

Received an already opened box re-shrink wrapped with an empty punch board inside...Update - requested and return and a replacement was immediately sent out. This one contained the actual product, excellent. This is a great add on for XIA, especially if you like to play solo as it adds more variety to the game.

While pricey, it is a cool ship to add to the Xia base game.
