When my kitchen counter top was installed, the installer made me a round piece from the leftover granite that could be used for a lazy susan, but they do not provide the base. I found this base on Amazon and decided to try it. It's sturdy, I didn't have to connect it to my piece of granite as it sits easily on top of the base and the granite is heavy enough that it does not slide off. It spins around very easily. It is better than expected and I would recommend it.

Hardware seems sturdy and operates smoothly. It has a low enough profile to make a nice lazy susan. I order the 12 inch hardware and I have a 16.5 inch granite round on it. The granite is just sitting in the plastic pegs it comes with. It operates evenly and quietly.

I bought the reccomended product for my use of a lazy Susan that holds very little weight. It spins but not very smooth and has a friction point that I cannot free up no matter what I do. It does work better with a little more weight on it. I still use it as it does do the job and isn't to bad. Maybe it'll smooth out in time. Not a bad product for the price. Without the one little friction spot, I would have given it 5 stars.

This appears to be a sturdy design and very lightweight.

The package arrived on the specified day. Packaging was great. Had to go to add on Amazon to get installation instructions. No big deal. Installed with pan head screws to insure proper clearance. There was one spot during rotation had a sticking point. I checked the tension on the ring to make sure it wasn't causing the bind. This didn't help. I put one shot of WD40 in the spot that was sticking but still no luck. It would not turn past that point. I would have returned the product but it was for a lazy susan wedding shower gift the day after it arrived.

This does come with little white rubber feet things on both sides that mean the ring isn't grinding against both the table or the Susan as it rotates. This does add up to it standing the Susan about 3/4 inch off the table.

Just right for making your own lazy Susan or turntable. It has enough ball bearings to turn smoothly and be stable.
