surprisingly awesome!
I'm new to working with fondant, and almost didn't buy these because I thought I could re-purpose another tool like the bottom of a measuring cup to smooth the fondant. But I am SO glad I bought a pair of these! They're so inexpensive, yet so effective and easy to use! Their unique shape makes them perfect for smoothing fondant on a cake. Do buy a pair, so you can hold onto the cake from the top or from one side with one smoother while rubbing the other smoother against the cake. Also be careful not to press down too hard, or you'll leave an imprint of the smoother's shape in your fondant.

A must for fondant decorators
This is one of the best tools you can have if you are working with fondant. It smooths the fondant so nicely and presses out air bubbles that lie between the cake and fondant. You can smooth the fondant into sharp corners around your cake edge, and press the edge of the smoother against the fondant to create a line to trim the fondant. It's such a simple tool, but so necessary for that crisp, professional look.

It does help with my foot pain
This has successfully helped with the pain in the ball of my foot. Is easy to apply but may move around on the foot with perspirations. Very easy to clean and seems to be very durable.

Works great for smoothing out buttercream (when used with wax paper)
This works great to smooth the finish on your cake. I don't use fondant, but if you put a piece of wax paper down on a crusting buttercream frosting, this will help you smooth it down quite well. Many people use paper towels for this, but I have best results with wax paper and this tool. You can find a lot of videos on the web as to how to do this. It really helps make a homemade cake look professional!

This product is simple and easy to use. There may be other ways to smooth fondant, but for the right price, this works great. It's big enough to use and small enough to store. The smoother is easy to clean and has stayed scratch free so far.

Works well
The smoother works very well on fondant. As bad as it sounds, I let my four year old use it while he plays with his play-doh & creates food. He loves to pretend to cook/bake & the tool is very Multi-purpose. I'm sure all of the hard-core bakers' are cringing at the thought of that but hey, it makes him happy :)
