Living in the desert makes watering so much harder. Now I KNOW when the lemon tree has sufficient water. I also used it to put holes in the areas that water was just running over, gets the water down to the roots insread just running off the top. Super sturdy -this is a great tool

Use this to check moisture level in soil around my citrus trees and works great. Very sturdy not a flimsy made probe. This should last may years.

Good quality tool. When looking at ground probes, you want one that's not going to break at the weld when you are leaning on it, causing a pesky impalement of the torso. This tool looks to be of superb quality and I had no trouble trusting that this would not happen. I will also be recommending it to any aliens I come across for their probing needs as well. The truth is out there people.

Product arrived on time as advised and survived the delivery process. Packaging, not so much.

I am a geotechnical engineer and I use this soil probe for compacted backfill/foundation bottom inspections. It is perfect for those applications. I even get compliments from contractors, always asking where I bought this probe. Great probe at a great price.

Soft steel. Bends easily. Works in softer soil. Not recommended in dry compacted soil.

I was going to hire a Ground Penetrating Radar company before I dug the garden at my new house. Then I came across this soil probe. Cheaper than GPR so I thought I'd give it a try. It works! You need to be gentle (I don't have rocky soil) and make confirming probes 3 inches either way to make sure it's not a rock. Saved me time and money.

I use bamboo poles for tomato cage supports. They're cheap and durable, but getting them in the ground used to be my least favorite part of gardening. I used to just shove the bamboo in the ground. Sometimes they would go in easy, but most often they were difficult to get in very deep, and I would have to really bear down. It got old quick. I have no idea what this tool is designed for, but it makes the absolute perfect holes to place bamboo poles in the ground, and it enables me to get them twice as deep. It's solid steel, the handle is very comfortable, and it goes in the soil like butter. What more could you ask for?

I thought it would have taken soil cores for soil testing but that is not what it is for... Completely my fault. Not worth sending back because it's worth less than shipping. Looks like a solid product for why that's worth.
