This product is made of 100% pure copper which means the natural process of oxidation may result in dark patterns on the interior of the bottle when left idle for periods of time. This is natural and completely normal. These are not stains or dirt, we promise your bottle has never been used, and you will be the first to drink from it! Interior: 1) Fill the bottle with water and add 3tbsp of lemon juice or white vinegar. 2) Let sit overnight. 3) In the morning, add some baking soda to neutralize the acid followed by a wash with regular dish soap. 4) Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Exterior: 1) After the interior is clean, take dishwashing soap and a soft sponge or dish cloth and gently wipe the exterior. 2) Rinse with cold water. 3) Immediately dry the bottle with a soft cloth.
