I got this as a gift for my grandson. He loves being a Pirate at our lake home. This is perfect. The telescope works great. He and his grandpa both use it for finding treasure! And they use the box as their hidden treasure chest. It is perfect. Update: Almost four years later and this is still an amazing item. It was for our Grandson's 4th birthday and he is now 7.5 yrs old. It has been used by two other grandkids now and they ALL LOVE IT!! It has been hidden in the sand, left outside over night, and played with A LOT. I highly recommend this for any pirate!

The little pirate will love this. First one came with a cracked lens, quick replacement is in perfect shape. Beware the dimensions, it's small but perfect for little hands and big imaginations.

It was made quite well but required reinstalling one of the connections. The kids like it.

I am using this as a trinket on a table in my Horror themed living room. The telescope and box are both manufactured nicely and seem pretty sturdy. The telescope does function too.

This is made of decent material for what it is, but it definitely isn't as useable as I had hoped. The one I received does work, but it had a lot of excess glue on the inside, which made looking through it a bit challenging. It also couldn't be used when fully extended, as the image was only clear when opened 3/4 of the way. In conclusion, this is a decent costume piece or a fun gift for a child, but the quality control for the internal parts is pretty low, making it a bit less fun.

Awesome and fun Watching the stars

My parents got this as a gift for my son and I was surprised by how high quality it is. Sturdy, and it works so well we’ve yet to find a place where we need to extend the glass to its full viewing length. Guess we’ll need to take it on a ship!

I bought this to add to my pirate costume, and so far it's exactly what I was looking for. It seems to be decent quality, it actually kind of works, and is the perfect size to tuck into a belt pouch. I hope it stands the test of time and use!

Don't buy it for the optics: honestly I think distant things are easier to observe with a naked eye than with that toy! That being said, the toy is nice looking and my daughter is happy (which was the objective)

As soon as I opened and extended the telescope it fell apart. Cheaply made. Do not recommend.
