Saves soooo much time, and it is hard to screw up!!!
Awesome product. What I really like is that you can control the "sheen" depending on how many coats you add and how you sand/finish the topcoat. If I had one thing to notice is that, if you do not need the product in a hurry, perhaps it is better if you order directly from the manufacturer. Why? PRICE! the same Pint (16oz) is about $15 cheaper if you order directly from Solarez. Of course, you have to factor shipping cost considering the amazon "prime" shipping. But still for the $$ you save ordering directly from Solarez, it seems you can purchase more product for the money. Notwithstanding, it same plenty of time when you consider using this product against the typical process of using grain sealers, then fillers, then top coats, etc., etc. If the finish proves to be durable, I am not sure I will go back to my previous methods of finishing wood. :))

Great for pore filling a guitar.
Fantastic product. Used for pore fill on a mahogany electric guitar. Worked great in the Florida sun. Cured in 2 minutes flat.

Sets very quick
This is a little tricky to get used to, but sets very quick and very hard surface. Excellent product, but does have some smell.

Grain Sealer Filler... A good product, but not what I was hoping for.
I bought this to test sealing and filling guitar bodies. The test was on a worst case scenario - a plywood body. The jug says "Grain Sealer Filler", I think the "filler" wasn't added to the contents inside of the jug. PROS: In good direct sunlight, it cures fast, as it should. Low odor (it is not odor free, smelling like a weak epoxy). Reasonably easy to use. Reasonably easy to clean up. Sands easily - a big plus! It's not lacquer ( I see that as a plus ). A little goes a long way, but each coat is VERY thin. CONS: Price. Somewhat messy. Some odor. Minimal "filling" ability. Runs easily, which can be a hardened mess. I don't know if this product is compatible with 3M Micro balloons. If so, filling characteristics may be greatly enhanced. That will be future test, if the balloons are compatible with this UV resin. Overall, I was pleased by the process, even though it wasn't all I expected. The instructions list 3 coats, and I think that must be a minimum suggested application number. My testing went well, and while I'll use the remainder of the product on other projects, I don't think it is the filler that I'm looking for in the long run.

Way better than the other brand and type
I used Aqua "jacket" brand on one side of a guitar body and the Solerez UV cure on the other. Hands down the Solerez is a better product because it has next to no shrinkage and it took 3 coats to fill in the grain on Ash wood and it took 7 coats of the A-coat to get the same results. The Solerez sands much nicer as well.

DO NOT use ON YOUR GUITAR.
If this dosent cure like mine didnt your guitar is ruined, i used this product on a $50 dollar guitar out of precaution and so glad i did. this product stayed soft like wax and i could not get it out of the wood grain, you cant rub it off because it just roles and clogs the paper i even tried paint thinner amongst other stuff, 1 guitar ruined , my advice is dont risk it because there is no going back.

I used both grain sealers
I started using grain sealer because HD wasn't really cutting it for the wood department. I purchased both major brands of the grain sealer and this one definitely works perfect. For those who don't know, this will help smooth out wood grain and help with a glassy smooth feel. It's definitely some extra steps but it brings your wood working to the next level.

Good for light color, non porous wood only
Used this on some redwood as a sealer and clear coat in one. It was a failure. The resin soaked into the wood and everything below the surface never cured. Sunlight couldn’t get to it. I tried a UV flashlight and that didn’t fix it either. Huge pain. Going to use Z-Poxy going forward. With pine, I had better results. Less porous and a light color to reflect light back through the resin to cure the deeper stuff.

The Solarez Grain filler Not drying after 12 Hours, this is not what the instructions say.It has ruined my work and will have to strip material back and start all over again. Very dissappointed and request a refund please.

This product does exactly what it says on the tin. Very fast cure time with no slime. I am able to sand with no problems. I recommend a UV/black light of at least 20W power which I use to great effect. The only issue I have is that this stuff may not have any VOCs, but it stinks.
