Strata Men's Golf Club Package Set

Great starter set. Absolutely ideal for my son who is starting out. Brilliant quality. Value for money is outstanding. They're distributed by Callaway so they wouldn't put their name to something poorly made.

Bought these for my son as a starter set. Nice looking set and he likes them. Decent quality and should last him a few years before he decides whether to take the game more seriously. Not sure if you can add to the set as only bought the part set.

I replaced 40 year old ping eye 2 black spot my Dad gave me for these. Went for the 12 piece to start like others using a 5 hybrid to replace 3 or 4 irons (12 piece starts from 6-wedge and no sand iron). Had borrowed Callaway Edge previously and these are just about ok. Distance is good but they suit me. Clubs are heavy but swing nicely. I’ll never get sub 10 handicap again but should see me par my course with a 18-20 handicap. The driver is a 10.5 which I like and is fairly forgiving. I’m 10-15 yards off the Edge driver. Probably 25-30 yards off with a top of the range. But £329 compared to £600+ is not too bad.

Firstly I struggle to understand some of the negative comments, and I read a lot about these clubs before I purchased them. To start with I bought the 12 piece set and to clarify, yes it counts the bag and 2 covers as pieces, so 9 actual clubs. I used them today, after using old secondhand clubs for the last few years and they were great. They felt solid, straight and well made. The driver added 15 yards to my drive and I hit consistently straight with them. The irons worked very well although my one gripe would be that there is no sand wedge, I had to put my old one in the bag. Overall I'm very happy with the set and for £199 they are a complete bargain.

Let me first start off by saying that for the price and what you are buying; you cant beat it. I ordered mine when they were $200 and I played my first course yesterday with them. This is my review as a beginner keep in mind: Look and Feel: Visually, these clubs are simple and do not have a lot of flare to them but that is something I like. There is no Callaway branding on them and the bag simply has Strata on the side. Not a problem for me, but I know that was a complaint among avid golfers. The clubs I received are sturdy and feel okay in the grip. The grips are comprised of this rubber like material and I found initially as I was testing them out at the driving range, my grip would slip as my hands got clammy. Wearing a glove fixed this issue when I played on the course but it is something to keep in mind when you buy them. Use on the Course: The driver I have problems with but that is most likely due to that I am a beginner. The irons are pretty standard and work as intended. The 5 Hybrid club really shines though and I found that after driving, this was my go to to get the ball on the green. The putter is okay, I have used others that feel better to me as I used them. This obviously is preference based and others may find the putter to be great. I will probably upgrade the putter. Overall: Overall, I highly recommend these clubs as a great starter set. The driver and 5H are forgiving for the beginner which is great so that the beginner, like me, can improve their game without much cost to the game on the course. For the money, you cannot escape the great value that come with these clubs. As a beginner to the game, I give the clubs a 5/5 and highly recommend.

Bought my first set of clubs. Been playing since a kid but never been super into it until my early 30s. Been using my father's clubs Taylor made M4 clubs and driving close to 300 yards. Finally decided to get my own set, wanted something half decent and not overly expensive. Bought this set and went to the range / 9 hole. These are amazing and I would super highly recommend if you're trying to get into golfing and yes I still drove 300 yards with the strata driver. Amazing product, good job Callaway.
