This continues to come up on lists of favorite and “must have” classic shaving scents. It’s a nice- soapy, powdery, and it has a musky foundation that comes out after dry down. It’s definitely an aftershave, though. The scent is fleeting and what does last, lives verrrrrrry close to the skin. It’s your classic granddad scent. For the price I say grab

It's been decades since I've smelled or used anything "musk". I suppose I was expecting that same "Jovan Musk" from yester-years but nowadays finding anything equal to or better than products from the 70's and 80's is pretty much impossible. This and Jovan are no exceptions. It smells okay but the scent doesn't last more than a couple hours. For the price it's acceptable. If I'm being fair, even the quality of Jovan has suffered over the years. I may try using some of this as an automobile air freshener. I suspect that during the peak summer months (you know, like when you car feels like an oven when you first jump in) it'll smell pretty darn good. But for the price, even as an air freshener, you can't go wrong.

A splash after a shave still has that old-school sting, then the musk settles into something closer to a light cologne. It lasts through the workday on me.

The sent lasts, very soothing. I have used Aqua Velva ever since I started Shaving. Great stuff for a company that has been around for 109 years.

Excellent quality product for the price I must say, This smells great after putting a little on when you are finished showering. And of course, after shaving as well. It has a musk smell but it also smells clean.. It spells masculine, and surprisingly, for the price, high quality!

You get an alcohol slap! Whadyu expect?

I use a brush to clean my shaver head and blades. I then use this, mixed with isopropyl alcohol and shaver oil, to finish the weekly treatment of my shaver head. The mixture cleans, disinfects, lubricates, and deodorizes the shaver head.

After shave lotion is good but the bottling can be made better. Always spills after you open - not sure whether the liquid is meant to come up every time you open

I've been using Aqua Velva Ice Blue since I was 18 (now 75) On holiday in Spain in 1972 I found the Cologne, shaving foam and deodorants and brought lots home. In Spain the products are branded Williams etc and do differ slightly to the American products branded Aqua Velva which are readily available via the web, the Williams products are quite difficult to get but after years of use I think they have the edge. The clean fresh manly scent of Aqua Velva Musk lingers for a long time, it beats these modern man scents on price, value and performance.
