I had a originally got a PS3 to VGA adapter. The setup for the VGA adapter is freaking complicated & once you have it set up there's no way to switch to another device and switch back again without going through the whole process again. This one was easy and the setup process is much less of a headache.1. Assuming you have an HD TV with an HDMI input turn your PS3 on connected to the HD TV2. Go to "Display Settings" in the XMB3. Select "Video Output Settings"4. Select "HDMI"5. Select "Custom"6. If you have an old monitor select "720p"7. Select "Finish"8. Unplug the HDMI9. Plug in the DVI to HDMI adapter connected to said monitor10. Voila - that was it for me. Hope this helpsThe main reason I picked this - I was having terrible flickering issues with the VGA adapter. Besides the fact that the colors were muted and the whites are over saturated the damn thing would cause the screen to black out for a few seconds while I was playing a game. Anyways... this thing works. No flickering issues and much better color and image production.
