Must Have
These Gripples are a must have if you are putting up a woven wire fence. The time saved is substantial and you have a much stronger fence. I wouldn’t put up another fence without them.

Not as easy as advertised
I've been using these on 10 gauge wire at the top and bottom of non-climb horse fencing. If the wire was perfectly straight, it might slip through easily, but fence wire is never perfectly straight. After all, it comes in a roll. Any little kink and it is extremely difficult to pull through. Lubricating with WD40 or similar helps some. That said, crimping that size wire isn't easy, nor is it easy to do a proper wrap for splicing. So I used them with some difficulty. I used crimps for the 12 gauge wires.

Very strong
I use these for grape vine trellis and also use for tensioning Tenax deer fencing #8 monofilament. Just make sure you buy tensioner tool.
