It was recommended to go up a half size, so I did. Upon receiving these shoes I found that it should be a FULL size or even a FULL SIZE AND A HALF Larger than what a person normally wears. The shoes are cute but also more on the narrow side with a slightly cushioned foot bed. So if you wear a size 8, I would order a 9, unless your foot is a little wider than go up a full 1 1/2 sizes to a 9 1/2. Also, the description of these shoes states made of SOFT LEATHER, this is NOT true.The shoes are extremely stiff and completely lacking of that great leather scent. Leather they are NOT.....It's too bad because they are cute but they have to go back. If the manufacturer is using a Chinese person's foot as a guide, these shoes come directly from China (the mailing label on my shoes was in Chinese), as a model for sizing and cut, that is unfair. The Chinese people are predisposed to having a smaller frame...not all but many are small framed people.Anyways, it is unfair because not everyone has a narrow foot and because of this, the shoes being sold on AMAZON that come directly from China are never going to work for me or anyone else that does not wear a "narrow". ### ⭐ Not as described! *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2016* These are absolute garbage. They are NOT leather and are NOT soft. They feel like hard plastic. I ordered my usual size, and when I tried to return them for being too small, the seller insisted on sending me a larger pair at no charge, and I didn't have to return the first pair! The shoes themselves appear to be cheap bonded leather, and as with most Chinese shoes, they needed airing out when received. There's no arch support and the size up is still a bit tight.
