Edea socks on the edea website are with no toe seam...are these not real edea socks because the picture shows a seam across the toe?

I have these. The seam is on top the toe vs at the tips of the toe. I think that is what they mean. If you look at Skate knee high sticking, the seam is at the tip of the toe. I'm guessing that is how these are different. There is no way to have absolutely no seam to a stocking or sock. Honestly, I prefer the skate knee high stockings that are thinner material. These edea socks shrunk a little when I dried them so I don't wear them now because they squish my toes. Hope this helps.

What size shoulc i buy if I'm adult wearing shoe size US8?

Information from Edea states that two (2) Sizes Available: Small (200-235) Medium (240-270) If you are wearing Edea boots, the metric size is stamped on the bottom of the boot and on the insole. If you aren't wearing Edea boots, according to a sizing chart, a US 8 is approx 210, so you should be firmly in a small. Having said that, I purchased a number of these, don't really love them and they are rather pricey.

Would the small fit a child size 2?

I think so. They run a touch small and are not truly seamless but my skater says they are much more comfy than her other figure skating socks. The seam has a much lower profile and they are thin and smooth.

These socks don't stay up.

Don't waste your money on these socks. Too short under your ice skates and don't stay up. Fall down. My daughter and I wore them once skating and we abandoned them. Better to buy 60 denier knee highs from M&S.
