I realize that this is not the intended use.** A: I would think you would waste a lot of money using the mold release. WD-40 is for moisture control, not a lubricant. I need one that leaves the casting with the epoxy shine.** A: When I used it I noticed that as long as I didn't buff the casting it had a pretty good shine to it. **Q: Do i need this instead of a can of regular silicone spray for casting plaster in an rtv mold?** A: This product is garbage. It ruined 5 silicone molds because it wouldn't release.
