I knew it was thinner when I purchased it. We live in Texas, so this is about all we need for our winters. Consider this a windbreaker rather than a hoodie. I want to say it runs a little small. I am a medium and read the size chart. After buying the medium and trying it on, I realized it fit great but if I washed it and dried it, the arms would be too short.I didn't get to keep it very long anyway. My younger sister got a hold of it and I've yet to see it again. In the photos, she is wearing a medium. (When she's actually a small.) Either way, we really liked this. Because of how much she loved it, I had to write a review! Just remember, get a size bigger just to be safe.
