4" but It's not american plumbing dimesions. The female (top) will require you to remove some material on sch 40 pvc. It can be done quickly and even on a lathe. Bottom part can be connected with no hub style coupling. Its a great fitting option if you dont have a spot for a horizontal backflow. Dont know why we dont have alot of these vertical waste back flows here.
