Best fan you will ever buy. I promise
When I say this is the best fan I have ever bought. Seriously please stop looking around and get this product. I have bought 2 of them and going to buy another one. They are powerful and I bought a Dreo Tower pan for 82$ and it is horrible compared to this 50$ lasko fan. It is Powerful and pretty quiet in my opinion and doesn't bother me with the noise. Perfect for the price. I have two of the 20 inch size and I haven't yet found another fan close to this good. The stability of this fan and you can tilt it then tighten it so basically can have it blowing anywhere. My son uses it for his top bunk bed and it reaches him from a distance and keeps him cold and under his blankets. They last forever and I have a warranty on them because it was only a couple more dollars.

So far so good
Purchase approximate/Review Date: 9/28/2025 The price felt affordable. I have "efficient" AC units that, while efficient, don't seem to cool like they should. Coupled with that, the main space is a serious of "rooms" in that they're mostly open but not entirely. The result is that air gets trapped in a room with the AC unit instead of flowing to the rest of the house. My hope was that this fan would address it at a reasonable price, and boy does it! Air Movement: I put the fan on the lowest setting and upclose it kind of gives the impression that it's not moving much air, but from a distance the air movement is a lot. Noise: I can see why some reviews debate whether it's a loud or quiet fan. Part of that perspective is going to be based on comparisons to other fans. Part will be based on setting. Part will be based on other ambient noises and sensitivity to noise. My wife is sensitive to noises and her response to the low setting is "it doesn't make me immediately want to kill it, which is a positive. It's pushing air and it does make noise though. If you're confused by the variations in reviews, I think it's because it really depends on how you're looking at noise and the rest of the "noise" environment. Many other things may be louder than it is. In complete silence, it will stand out. The size is larger than I expected. Left to right it's about 26" and top to bottom it's about 25". I had planned on using in a crawlspace in the winter to circulate the air, but this size makes it a no go to use how I wanted. The finish is mostly nice. Rounded edges and a nice look... except the handle which has two different pieces of plastic sloppily put together and sharp edges. I really miss quality built items, but this doesn't seem bad overall. The control is located on the back of the fan. It's a knob with three settings starting high to low. It's not my favorite location, but it works and engineering wise makes sense. All manually controlled, not remote. I think that's obvious but I thought I'd point it out. Honestly, I appreciate things that just work without unnecessary expense/features/ways it can break down. The fan swivels so you can aim it up or down. I had thought about using the base to mount to a wall, but I'd need to drill holes for that and while I think I could make it work, I decided it'll work best sitting on the floor or a table . Overall, I'm happy with the product. It moves air, it's relatively quiet, it's providing MUCH more airflow and movement than our ceiling fans (and also quieter as those fans have issues and I haven't torn them down to look at them and fix them yet). The price is reasonable for what is delivered and I FEEL like the quality is a little greater than the price, even with my complaint of the handle. You might feel differently if you handle the fan a lot, and I'd recommend a cloth wrap to prevent cuts from the sharp plastic edges of the handle. Hopefully this fan lasts. At some point I'll likely update to measure the energy usage, but I'm currently busy doing other devices this year, so it'll have to wait. Fans are generally low energy though.

Powerful and efficient - excellent product
HEATWAVE UPDATE! We’re on day 2 of a heatwave: actual temperature is currently ° 94.6 - heat index is 107.7 ° Indoors is 82 ° and a comfortable 56 % humidity. (Yesterday’s high outside was 96 ° with 111 ° heat index) ::: attached current sensor reading so you can see outdoor temp + heat index as well as current indoor temp and humidity ( bottom ) Wind Machine set to low, windows and blinds closed to keep heat out. Windows are energy efficient. No need to turn the air conditioner on. The house is comfortable and dry with humidity of 56% inside. ( you want to keep humidity below 60 for comfort) I’ve attached a video of the fan so you can hear it on low. Easily have conversation on phone or in person-fan isn’t very loud. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this Lasko Wind Machine because I have another Lasko (a 16" table fan) but needed one for much warmer months with more wind. I can use both by having one blow out one window while the other blows in. This fan ( actually air circulator ) is fantastic. It’s like getting a wind chill in your house. We had some real warm, humid rainy days and I eventually turned on the air conditioning- but I turned it up to 76 ° and pointed the fan directly at the ceiling. It really helped to disperse the cool air while not having to turn the air conditioning temperature lower- thereby using less energy. On days where AC isn’t needed, this fan provides a nice breeze with the windows open, blowing that cool air around from outside. ( the house is tight- so when it’s warm in here and a cooler temperature outside - this works really well, too. ) Very versatile machine. Can be pointed straight down in winter to disperse warm air, or pointed up to spread the cool air- pointing out the window to exhaust- just a real great circulator all around, with Lasko’s blue safety plug. I’m enclosing a photo of my Wind Machine. I painted the blue parts white because my decor doesn’t have any blue and I wanted it to blend in rather than stand out. I keep it in a room that’s mostly white and seafoam green with a light grey flooring - not the room in the photo. Extremely easy to take apart- the side knobs come off- the handle comes off- easy to clean. Very well built circulator- worked right out of the box. Sturdy and all 3 speeds are powerful. Not real loud even on the highest setting. I get that the cords can’t be super long for a reason but another 10-12" would give more options for placement since you can not use extension cords with fans or circulators for safety reasons. Still a 5 star 🌟 machine. Definitely recommend!

Great little fan
Now this fan isn't going to blow you over, but it has 3 speeds, and it does have power, and it runs so quietly even on 3 (highest setting). You could put it in TV room with out have to turn the volume way up, if at all? Put it in kids room with out blowing them out of bed, or keeping them awake because it's so noisy? Our pets will even lay in front of it, and behind it. And great deal for the price, think you'll be happy if you purchase this fan. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Good
This is a good fan. Walmart used to sell them not sure of they still do but I’ve had 4 of them. I have it running 24x7. They last 2-3 years for me. This last one has a slight noise to it that the others didn’t so I’m giving it a 4. These fans blow a lot of air. They don’t play around.

Best fan around
This is the second one of these I bought. Bought one years ago that I lent to someone and they did not give it back. I bought a metal one, different, more expensive. Lasted less than a year. Bought this one again. It's 10 times better. Not loud, really moves the air around. Never going away from this brand again

Cheap faulty rubbish. Not fit for purpose.
No star review. Absolute cheap rubbish that does not work. Loose connection at the back, I couldn't even switch it on. Cheap plastic rubbish. Arrived faulty. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
