easy install, looks great
Remodeling the house, and didn't want to deal with pop-up drains in the bathrooms-- they always discolor, or they quit working in short order. I have one of these in our half-bath for the last 7 years, and have had no issues at all. We decided to put this style drain in all the bathrooms in the whole house. They look fantastic, and no worries about children dropping things down the drain.

Resolved a problem
My faucets needed to be replaced so I thought that I should replace the drain as well and all that would be updated. I don't know anything about plumbing, my plumber had said let him know when I had everything and he would come and put it in. I did some research and found the faucets I needed but wasn't sure about what kind of drain. The sink drained slowly so slowly so I was hoping that a new drain might help. I thought the wrong kind had been installed previously since the sink had been working well before and when this new one was installed, the sink worked well again so I think I was right. It looks good and works well.

mostly fine, leaks but can be fixed
the materials are quality for the price point, and it looks very nice installed. if you need a free flowing drain (no plunger plug) this is a fine solution. i bought 4 of them for my various sinks and they all have the same issue โ they leak from every seam. i was able to fix this with a couple easy modifications as below. bottom of sink gasket: this may vary depending on the shape/style of your sink, but for me the gasket the drain includes did not seal effectively. i reused the old cone-shaped rubber gasket from the drain this was replacing and that solved the problem. brass retention nut: this has a very slow leak so i was able to wrap the threads in teflon tape and stop this. it may be fair to say that using teflon tape is a standard installation method for drains but but i have never previously had to use teflon on a drain in this specific location. itโs a small issue but be aware you should have teflon handy when you install this. down pipe tube: this was the main leakage problem. teflon tape was not sufficient to stop this leaking. i ended up using clear waterproof silicone which worked fine. again, maybe others would say this is normal for installing drains, but i have replaced at least a dozen drains before and never had a leak in this spot. silicone worked and was an effective fix. bottom line: the drain is fine for the money and definitely looks nice. it should probably be sent with teflon tape in the package as all 4 that installed had the same problem and i fixed it in all the same way. 4 stars because i had to do these additional steps to make it work how i expected it to have worked out of the box.

Quality drain for sink
Very good quality and easy to install. Just make sure you properly clean the mating surfaces where gaskets make contact. Best to use Teflon tape around all thread areas, as well as plumbers putty around seal on top side of sink. If you donโt use Teflon tape or plumbers putty there is a high probability of a leak. Take the time to watch a few YouTube videos to educate yourself if youโve never removed or installed a sink drain. Best to also inspect the plumbing connections as these can become problematic once you remove them. All in all, this is a terrific well built sink drain and well worth the money.

Works Great, But Use Plumber's Putty To Prevent Leaks.
I used these to prevent small things such as contact lenses from going down the drain.

Was not compatible with my Kohler bathroom sink.
This looks nice and was certainly priced well. However, it didn't fit my Kohler sink and leaked like crazy. I bit the bullet and bought the Kohler brand version for a lot more money. The big gasket under the sink is so much larger and overall the Kohler brand version was built a lot more solid.

Super easy to install. Keeps hair from getting in. No more drain clogs. Improved the look of the sink.

Product arrived on time. Quality is great. Not sure how long it will last.

This works great, and looks great. To note though, in the instructions, to apply caulking under the top piece should be removed. Only plumbers putty or silicone should ever be used for a waterproof seal.

Love the strainer style, as our small vanity sink fills up way too fast for a drain plug. First impressions out of the box were good, this whole thing is metal! Unfortunately, I kept dealing with leaks. The gasket that seals the bottom of the sink was too flat to work with my specific sink, but I was able to replace the gasket with a conical gasket from the drain I had removed. Finally, after messing around with the sink seal the water was dripping out of the screw-in tailpipe. I'm not sure if I boogered the threads messing with the seal, or if it just leaked straight from the box. A little Loctite 567 fixed that issue and now everything is good.

i ordered the solid brass in chrome finish. I cut the end of the tailpiece and it doesn't seem to be real brass.
