This product installed perfectly and sealed so far. I see a lot of other ones with sealing issues. For the price, its an amazing deal. High quality.

Should fit okay. I won’t be able to utilize only the one part/fitting I had hoped to. Will have to change the entire section which will stand out against the other finishes under the sink.

Besides laying on my back and working through a small opening it works as designed. It replaced a metal one that had started to crumble. I would buy it again if needed.

The short version is that eventually, I was able to get an installation that didn't leak under the sink, but it didn't fully hold water in the sink when the stopper was seated. The longer version is that it did leak under the sink on my first try. On my second try, I used teflon tape on the threads on the drain body that screw into the waste seat, and the threads that the pivot rod nut screws onto. I also placed a bead of silicone plumber's putty on the rubber drain gasket. Finally, I supplied a washer which I placed between the rubber drain gasket and the drain nut. The washer prevented the gasket from distorting when the nut was tightened. The top of the drain body distorted slightly when it was tightened into the waste seat which prevented the pop-up plug from totally sealing. The appearance of the waste seat and pop-up plug top is fine, though there was slight marring from manufacturing on both. The 14526 product shown on the Moen site differs slightly from this one and appears to include the washer and an o-ring which this does not. So, while I can now use my sink again, I don't consider this item to be a good value for the money, even if it is inexpensive.

This drain kit uses plastic tailpiece, which is what to expect at this price. Original purchase was from professional plumbing supply house, and had chrome-plated brass tailpiece. I got what I paid for, so I'm satisfied. The parts visible when using the sink were chrome plated; the appearance was exactly as shown in the product description and photos. I find that plastic has less tendency to corrode and get difficult to un-install years later, so I bought this, and I'm satisified.

Easy to install after you get the old parts out. Just make sure you keep the plastic o ring for the bottom tightening coupling. The kit doesn’t have one.
