Madison Park Addy Wing Chair Cream See Below

I was really nervous about ordering furniture online. I liked the shape of this chair and the size is good...the color is a slate blue with a pattern. which I thought would be subtle....It isn't. It is comfortable, but you really need an ottoman to sit in it for an extended period. I ordered this thinking if I liked it and it fit the area, I would get another. The chair is bigger than I thought it would be, and the fabric is not my favorite, so just one. returning it would have been prohibitive,(and expensive!) so it stays. It will do for now.

I reviewed these chairs when I first received them months ago. At that time I was quite disappointed with their quality and didn't expect them to last. Clearly the manufacturer had cut every possible corner.But now, in fairness, I have to say that they have surprised me. I use them all the time... many hours of every day... and they're wearing extremely well. They've really updated the look of my living room, and I get many compliments about them. I am very pleased.

I bought this thru BB&B in grey/blue. The color is truly a blue with gray undertones. I bought it to go with some blue motif pillows that leaned toward needing a teal blue chair and I didn't really want to go that way. These brought out that pillows with a subdued blue. The fabric is really cool. It catches the light really nicely.The seating is firm, but comfortable. My daughter curls up into it. If you plan to use them frequently for seating, I would recommend an ottoman. I bought one from Target that is 18"H (x18"Dx24"W) and reupholstered it. The ottoman has turned this chair into a very relaxing chair to sit and watch TV from. (The height is just under the seat's height, and gives a great angle for relaxing without strain on knees or back.) I wish they offered a matching ottoman. There is one in this fabric, but it is a pouf-look with nailheads, and much smaller. Totally the wrong style IMO.The only drawback is that the seat cushion is attached. So, I can't take it for fabric matching or flip it for wear.

obviously Chinese made, Parts bag was in the body of the chair and had burst so I didn't have all the screws and washer for a complete assembly. I had to wait a month for the part to come from china. The other chair was complete and has been in use from day 1. The price was right.

The colors and texture of the fabric is an amazing steely blue, almost gray; we love the velvety look. Additionally, the construction is solid and the chair seems like it will hold up well over time. The only "assembly" was screwing the four legs in, and that was not difficult, at all. The chairs are pretty broad, IMHO, though. I was expecting something of smaller scale, but these work well for adults of all sizes, which is good for company. The seat is deep, so shorter persons may not find this chair very comfortable; it is firm, and not meant to be a lounging or relaxing chair, but is a perfect accent, library, or sitting room, or conversation chair. Readers take note:, the description says the seat cushion is removable, but it is not.
