Perfect STEM game
I got this for my 5- and 8-year-old, and it was a hit! They both love STEM toys, and so do I, since they make learning fun while keeping those curious little brains engaged. This one did not disappointโit turned math practice into an interactive and exciting game rather than just another lesson. One of the best features is the ability to select different difficulty levels, so both of my kids could find something suited to them. My younger one could start with the basics, while my older child got more of a challenge, making it a toy they can grow with. The combination of hands-on play and digital interaction kept them interested for much longer than I expected. If you're looking for a fun, educational toy that actually holds kids' attention while reinforcing math skills, this is a great choice. Itโs a fantastic way to make learning feel like play!

Perfect gift
My daughterโs favorite! Sheโs always playing games on her iPad and this was absolutely perfect for her. She enjoyed all of the games and for the price of it, youโd be surprised. Iโd buy 100 of these games.

From a early childhood educator- great game with 1 small problem
My review as a mom who also has an early childhood education teaching degree. Overall a great game with 1 small problem that could be improved. Pro: Works for variety of ages. I have a 7, 5, and 3 year old who all have content good for their ages. The game is engaging and fully educational in content. The number manipulative make it more hands-on than just clicking the number on a screen line in traditional apps. My one issue: For my youngest child who is learning number basics and how to identify numbers on sight (the basic level), the FONTS on some of the number manipulatives are not all ideal. Specifically the โ4โ and โ9โ. The numbers on the manipulatives are in a font that (while common and one that children need to learn to recognize as they grow) is not the same font that teachers traditionally use when first teaching children to read and write their numbers/giving number exposure. I included a picture showing what I mean and which fonts I think would have been better for our super early learners.

Forward thinking STEM game for both of my children
First off, I have to tell you how impressed I was with shipping. Shifu plugo count, arrived from California all the way to the Middle East in less than a week! The set up was incredibly easy which required downloading the Plugo app with our compatible device and follow the on screen instructions. Note, the device we are using is the Amazon Fire 7, 9th generation but it is also compatible with our iPhones. Plugo game pad and count came with a quick start guide for parents and educators which was easy to understand and follow along with. This is such a great interactive game for both of my children (ages 3 and 6) I was able to create profiles for both of them and adjust each profile to their learning range. I've been searching for apps that keep my kids entertained while teaching them and haven't been able to find that until now with the Shifu. There are a bunch of different "games" within the app to go along with the pluggo count and the fact that it grows with them is priceless. Both kids were laughing while being challenged playing with spike and the fun characters within in the pluggo count app. I am looking forward to adding new additions to our collection like the Orboot and link. I highly recommend this and it would make the perfect gift.

Cool use of AR technology
I ordered this product to help my son, who is on the autism spectrum, work on his math. He loves technology and being able to use manipulatives makes abstract concepts, like math, more concrete for him. He enjoys using it and it is helping him with his number sense. My daughter is more advanced in math (about 3rd grade level so on to multiplication and division) and she enjoyed playing with it too. It isn't so fun that either wants to play with it without encouragement - it is doing math after all and they would rather use the iPad for watching YouTube - but they enjoy it quite a bit more than worksheets. The one thing that I would change is the device holder on the play mat. Since this is an item for children using a tablet or phone - which are expensive - I would think it would work better with devices using cases. I have kid proof cases on our devices, so a little thicker, and the device holder on the play mat does not like holding the devices up with those cases on. Not a huge deal as I just prop up the devices aligned with the mat but it does seem like an oversight.

You're Better Off with Osmo
As a 40+ year adult, I didn't know the answer to a few of these questions. They made literally no sense. My child didn't know and I couldn't answer. We answered 3 or 4 times and couldn't get what they wanted us to do. It was frustrating. It was a waste of money. My kids didn't find it fun and will never play it again. The Osmo games are top-notch. We have had the Osmo games for 2 years and my kids continue playing them over and over. I thought this might be something they liked since they like Osmo. But that's a no. It's our first and last plugo purchase.

Very disappointing
Bought this for my almost-five-year old. We have a fire tablet, which it worked ok with. Although the spike thing disconnected quite often, which was very frustrating. My main issue is that the games are neither nor engaging. They also seem to be just quizzing the player as opposed to actually teaching them anything. There's one game in which a llama says he's going to do a card trick- this caught my daughter's interest; but then he just keeps quizzing the player on how many cards he has and never actually does a trick. All the games are just random storylines that are either boring or make zero sense. Then they interrupt the gameplay with a voiceover that demands the player identify something ("how many windows are there?" Or "which number is missing from the sequence?"). The prompts only superficially fit into the game. ALSO, there is often text displayed that's not read out loud- no good for a preschooler who's just starting to learn how to read. Great idea, terrible execution. Feels more like a student's final project to earn their degree than a finished product.

Amazing!!
Got this for my nephew and he loves it! Easy to set up and use. The games are fun and interactive and easy to understand. My nephew quickly got the hang of it. Would love to see more new games added to it. Overall highly recommended.

Engaging game but defective set
Good: - the game is engaging for my 7 year old. - works with a smaller Samsung tablet Bad: - Did not work with my iPad Air 2024 (13 inch). It only fits smaller devices. - the kit I got came with a defect. There are 3 โ1โ pieces and 1 โ2โ piece, when I should have 2 of each instead. Some questions cannot be answered.

Educational gift
This educational gift is the best ever, the size is portable to travel with so it is movable, I got it for my friends daughters birthday and she mentioned the engagement is great as it prompts the child to reply when any question is asked during the maths task.

Great Learning Game/App
My 4-year-old daughter and I are so impressed with the Shifu Plugo Count. It was easy to set up - from the actual pieces in the box to setting up the app on my devices. My daughter is very interested in learning games as she prepares herself for kindergarten next September. Practicing counting, numbers, and basic math is so important, and this is such a fun way to practice! There are so many fun games for her to play on the app. The play pieces are very good quality as well! I've also purchased the play Shifu tunes!
