Lovely
I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said in a million other reviews. These are great strings. I put them on my 53 Gibson LG-01. It’s a smallish concert body with ladder bracing. These strings put significantly less pressure on the bridge than traditional strings. Sounds just as good as thicker PBs. The tone is lovely.

Nice sound
Great sound and smooth playing. Very happy with these strings. I still prefer Ernie Ball, but these are a nice substitution.

Very light...easy on fingers I guess
Maybe Im not used to light strings. Kinda like rubber bands. Nice for someone with delicate fingers. Gave the second set I bought to my ex. Will order mediums.

Protect you acoustic guitar
Too many acoustic guitar are strung with the WRONG strings. Too much tension from thick strings will belly the flat top and tilt the bridge forward. The tension could bow the neck also. Yes you may be able to adjust the truss rod to try to straighten the neck but if the top gets bellied too far, the guitar will become unplayable. The Martin silk core strings are much lower tension strings and easier to bend while playing. There isn't another string available that combines the combination of tone, comfortable play and keeping the tension in check to protect your instrument from being ruined. This is the ONLY acoustic string I use....

I like these as strings
These strings are bright and have good sustain, they do feel a bit softer to the touch on the wound strings, amazing value given the price and I definitely would recommend to anyone. I use them on an ovation pinnacle and they stayed in tune after manually stretching them once and maybe after a day of playing...I can't speak to the durability because I only just got them, but after 2 weeks they still look and sound like new

Turned a 1950's classical nylon string into a blues bomb!

I use Martin silk and steel on my Yamaha acoustic guitar. I have used them for years and have never found a set of strings that suited my guitar more than these . I paid 75.00 dollars, new , in 1976 for my guitar and it has been used very often in all the years since. Martin silk and steel makes my guitar sound like a high end ,high cost guitar, it’s unbelievable.
