I want to make home made bread, cinnamon rolls and pizza dough- I have made myself crazy with desire and with failure.It is in my blood- my Maternal Grandma made the best cinnamon rolls- EVER, the BEST pies, rolls, bread- I spent a day baking with her, nada. SO... I have tried, I have every bread making gadget, flour, etc., and I have tried- I even put the dough under my heating blanket (because I read it somewhere) to rise.Looking on Amazon for Prime Pantry I saw this yeast, then I saw this set and I read reviews- they were all 5 stars! I bought it! This review is for PIZZA only..I started at 5:12 pm and the pizza (2 of them) were done at 6:20. This is what I learned...*READ and re- read- you will be referred to the very first recipe always- it will be your BASE recipe. I became confused as the recipe states-- **2 Tbsp. rounded SAF yeast- 2 tsp. soy lecithin ( dimple flour with back of tsp. and fill)- 2 cups of hot water. LOTS of two's and I almost put 2Tbsp. soy ... it confused me... heads up.*Oven temp. needs to be 425 degrees. Heat for at least 30 minutes before you bake pizza.*When the recipe calls for liquid soy, spray your fingers AND the teaspoon with Pam or another non stick spray as it is extremely thick and using DAWN did not take all the product off my skin.*I used my Kitchen-Aid mixer and it worked wonders- VERY EASY!*NEXT time I am dividing the recipe into three pizza's, they recommend two. We like a thinner crust.*USE a pizza pan with holes in the bottom, it makes the crust crispy/crispy crust!!!! (I need another one.)*Rotate the pans-I do not have a convection oven.*This recipe calls for 5 cups of flour- so make sure you have plenty on hand, it calls for sugar.**I think it was---** VERY EASY!! SO easy I did not believe it would work- NO proofing! Just mix in Kitchen-aid for 5 minutes, and roll into dough!**I made two pizza's- one in a ½ sheet pan, one in a pizza pan- the crust did NOT brown in sheet pan, still tasted good.** DOUBLE PIZZA SAUCE RECIPE- I made pizza sauce using the recipe--- * 8 ounces tomato sauce * 2 Tablespoons pizza and pasta mix. This was only enough for one pizza and I am not a fan of sauce.*** It worked... it really did.***With the changes I plan to make next time, I should be able to make good dough and pizza... the dough was great, but WILL be better next time. It let's you make two loaves from start to finish in under two hours. The bread is great tasting, my family loves that I can whip up fresh bread any night of the week, an added bonus is it makes great rolls super fast too. While the instructions call for using bread flour, I have used "00" flour to make a flavorful pizza dough too. The only con to using this is that you can't freeze the dough as it will rise to fast to freeze.
