The dado is deeper than the backing thickness, even in the upper reinforced area. So if you screw it directly to the wall, it will deform the back and start to pull the staples out. I shimmed it top and especially at the bottom to prevent this.The holes for the shelf supports are not quite in a plane, so the shelf wobbles.The hinges are adjustable, but the screw holes in mine were drilled outside the adjustment limits, so it is impossible to get the doors really square and straight. Close, but no cigar.These are simple process control things...there is really no excuse...wouldn't cost a penny more to get it right.The real wood is only in the doors.
